Ming's Seafood Restaurant is a popular Chinese dim sum and banquet hall used for a wide range of celebrations, whether it's a birthday, wedding, or other life events.
Staff are friendly, bring food out quickly and can adapt to any needs requested. It does help to know Mandarin or Cantonese, but staff will be nice even if you don't speak the language.
The food is quite good. Pretty standard Cantonese dishes available, and the portions are generous.

The waitress needs retraining because she shouldn’t be asking people for more tips. The 20% is optional, and their service definitely wasn’t worth that, especially with their attitude and impatience.

I paid an 18% tip based on the pre-tax amount for my lunch. The lady came up and said I didn’t leave enough and asked for more. I explained it was calculated before tax, but she refused… 18% before tax and still not enough? Yeah, not coming back.

To the Owners,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the customer service my family and I experienced during our visit on 11/28 at approximately 12:00 PM.
The behavior of the front desk staff and the manager on duty was shockingly unprofessional. Without any clear reason, the manager began raising her voice in the dining room, accusing us of lying about our seating number. In reality, some of our family members was simply having a brief conversation with friends and relatives seated nearby. I attempted to calmly clarify the situation and asked her to relax, but she responded by loudly shouting again, stating that she “cannot relax” and ask us to leave the table further escalating the scene and embarrassing us in front of other guests.
As an experienced restaurateur myself, I understand the importance of hospitality, professionalism, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Guests come to enjoy a peaceful dim sum experience with their families—not to be publicly confronted or made to feel uncomfortable by staff.
This incident left us extremely disappointed and frankly disturbed by the lack of basic customer service and respect displayed. I hope this matter will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately to prevent future guests from experiencing the same.

Ming's have 2 locations. This one is bigger and offers more variety of live seafood. Everything is on good. My daughter is connoisseur of fried mochi 鹹水角 and their pear shape ones does refine this item. The lychee shrimp balls look like lychee, do not taste like it. They have achieved a feast for the senses with this one. The calamari was crispy and flavorful. And the chao zhou dumplings 潮州粉粿 were authentic. Everything was good. Come. You won't be disappointed in the food. Sure, service is efficient as in they are not gonna take the time to teach you what is what. So, be adventurous.

Awesome and the best place on the South Shore for dimsum. Clean, well lit, spacious and beautifully decorated. Plenty of free parking with their own parking lot as well as street parking. A big plus than trying to find parking in Chinatown and paying for it. They give you a checklist along with a menu with descriptions and photos of the dishes. Great service, attentive, courteous, polite, friendly and professional. Every dish is served quickly, hot and fresh. All prepared perfectly and delicious. Highly recommend. Definitely our go-to anytime for dimsum.

Shrimp pork and octopus in this $32 dish, but they were cold (maybe took from fridge w/o heating). 2 of 3 guests got stomach ache after 30 minutes. Talked to waitress, no response and nobody cares.

The waitress actually chased us into the parking lot asking for more tips, which was very inappropriate. I told her directly that tips are optional and I had already tipped based on the service provided. She seemed unsatisfied with the amount, but during our one-hour stay she barely checked on us—never asked if the food was okay and only appeared at the end to clear plates and bring the bill. As she walked away, she made a “ch, ch” sound from her mouth, which I found extremely rude and disrespectful. Customers should never be pressured or treated this way.

The atmosphere is very authentic. Food is good and very affordable though not as excellent as the environment. Would visit again if I have the chance.

I like this venue better than the one in North Boston. Better overall atmosphere and location.

Dim sum is good but not great. Service is absolutely awful. The waitress tried to pull a chair from the other occupied table for us, but she didn’t say anything to the customers at that table but directly pulled the chair away, even pushing the chair of another customer. When they served our table, they also looked either emotionless or rather rude.
I saw one waiter cleaning a big table by pouring the left over tea from a previous customer’s cup to the table and use a mop to wipe it off. No sanitizer spray. It’s disgusting…
When I got the check to the front desk to pay, the restaurant owner lady also spoke to me with a very impatient tone. The entire dining experience was very disappointing except the food was okay.
