I’m done with the wheelhouse diner café. They consistently refuse Uber eats orders, when I go to order food it ALWAYS SAYS IT’S BUSY! I’m gonna contact Uber support and try and get them to remove the app.

Closing at the end of the month after 70 years or so. It's a shame.

Finally got around to being able to try Wheelhouse and it was a complete disappointment. The pictures of this place must be from a time in their restaurant prime. The place was completely empty… first red flag. The waiter, cook and one patron at the counter all looked like I was in the wrong environment. 2nd red flag. The cook proceeds to cook the food while scratching his bald scalp and continuing to cook and touch food without hand washing. MAJOR and 3rd RED FLAG. Trying to convince myself it’s a diner and things can be a bit sketchy and hopefully those head flakes burn off from the heat ?. Finally pay(almost $30) for Crunchy French Toast, steak(if you could call if that) & cheese omelette with head flake handheld onions, peppers & a handful of overcooked, dry breakfast potatoes. The crunchy French toast white bread was visible through the crunch like someone pasted cereal on cold white bread.Had to come home and make my own crunchy French toast and breakfast. 0/10… I will say the restaurant is very clean inside other than that. The staff were friendly never rude. But definitely won’t be back.

It's okay but there are better options. Not many of these places left around Boston to get breakfast. Male server was brusque. Took a good amount of time to get a 2 egg plate and the server just tossed it on the counter in front of me and walked away without saying anything. Unnecessary. 2 eggs with bacon and toast was only 10 bucks which is good, but was not overflowing with food for sure. Homefries were bland and limited. Food was okay but not spectacular. Was sitting at the counter and a young couple came in who couldn't find a seat so they just stood there right next to me staring down at me and others eat as they waited for a table. Not cool. They should have been asked to stand elsewhere. Next time I will take a table or won't stay.

This is a great little diner! The food was delicious . A pretty big menu. A great place to meet for a late brunch with my son. I love diners and this one is no exception. Our only issue was the wait staff who was obviously mad that we walked in at 230 pm. The waitstaff made no effort to welcome us , check back with us, or offer any hospitality. You are open until 3pm. No where does it state the grill closing , or no service after a certain time. The staff is in hospitality and should be aware that we are the customers and unless that grill is closed that we should be served with the expectation of service. The one exception was the young man who did his best to offset the waitstaff poor attitude. The next time I'm in town I'll be sure to put this on the list and give it a second try.

Having observed it for years in Quincy, my partner and I finally decided to give it a try and stopped by for breakfast. It's a cozy little diner, so expect a wait of about 10-15 minutes for a seat. The food is what you'd anticipate from a decent diner, but it's the nostalgic decor and atmosphere that transport you back to yesteryears. It's surprising to think it's been a fixture in Quincy for so long, but that history somehow enhances both the dining experience and the quality of the food.

Wanted to stop by for some time now, finally did, my son, friend of mine and myself, walked into a full picturesque old school diner and had a table within 5 minutes, food was great and staff was smiling, will definitely return, hope the landlord smartens up and leaves them be.
