Great food and wonderful staff. I just wish I knew the portion sizes of what I ordered. Holy smokes that is a lot of food.

We just happened to be in the area. We decided to give it a try. The pastrami đŸ„Ș was to die for. Also a great store selling a lot of other foods.

I’ve never relied on a Food Establishment more than DiCara’s. The service is excellent, the staff is personable, and it is the most fairly priced for the quality and amount you get. There is no other place in Reading that compares.

The workers don’t view the gig as making sandwiches - they view it as making art and putting smiles on faces.

Usually this place is my go to! My last 2 times have been met with nothing but stale bread, and almost no meat in my sandwiches.

Huge bummer. Especially at their hugely overpriced sandwiches

I hope they figure it out. It’s too bad. It’s been a staple in reading and for my family for years

Yesterday I got a pastrami with Swiss, spicy mustard and red onion. Today an Italian run through the garden. I found my new favorite spot! I work the early shift and get out between 10/11 am it’s hard to find “lunch” then. The store is clean, bright, organized and the Italian food selection is large. They have beautiful premade salads and lasagna and sauces!!! I could go on! They have a great deli selection and I noticed they have Dietz and Watson black pastrami! No wonder my sub was so awesome. And don’t get me started on the hot peppers! I’ll be back again and again.

Our go to for subs, especially Italian. Our kids love their pre made meatballs and I love their tuna salad. Bonus: Great chip selection, amazing hot peppers as a topping, and glass bottle Diet Coke, so crisp! Little seating (single table) inside, however, several picnic tables outside.

Vegetarian options: I order the “cheese sub” (three layers, can ask for less).

Great quality! Always a wide variety available. I usually leave with subs, chicken cutlets for the kids, cold cuts for the week, and a treat! Great platters for events too!

amazing sandwiches! pretty fast service. price looks high, but they give you A LOT! free parking. a local favorite, award-winning, well-established, family owned. you won't be disappointed. expect to pay a bit more than a supermarket deli.

Read all these great reviews about this place, especially the meatball subs. Never been so disappointed. Bread was not fresh. Meatballs tasted old and sauce was very basic. Also got another sub, pastrami, with hots and cheese. Meat was tough, hots were two big pieces of jalapeño. Should have known it was going to be bad when they asked if I wanted the pastrami hot? Ah yeah. I am fussy because I worked in kitchens for many years. I would have been more than happy to blow up the place how great it was. I came many miles to try this place. Never been more disappointed. Was so excited to be there, can’t believe it was this bad. Parking is a nightmare, worth it if really good food but it just wasn’t. I was so hoping it was good. Oh well. Live and learn.
