We ordered the crunchy French toast and the crispy savory waffle. As well as a side of hash browns. The French toast was perfect, the exterior was crunchy and the inside was soft and pillowy. It wasn’t excessively sweet and the apple honey topping was rich and flavorful. Additionally we ordered the savory waffle. It was quite flavorful and has a wonderful texture. The waffle was well seasoned and just was a joy to eat. The hash browns weren’t too oily and had a nice light feel to them as well.
We topped it off with some fresh squeezed orange juice.
The service was great c everyone was friendly and I can tell the owners really strive to make it a community atmosphere. It makes me want to come again soon and try the rest of the menu.

The service and food were great! I was very much surprised that it was an Indian owned place - but it a nice/good surprise. At one point they had the music on, and it was a bit too loud. And honestly they should have had Indian music to be true to their name … Half and Half - servicing American food, but playing Indian music. I’ll definitely go back here again.

Cozy place for breakfast and brunch in Reading. The hosts are very welcoming and attentive. They even let us to make our omelette ourselves and helped for flipping it to cook the both sides. We enjoyed our time there, the food was delicious. Recommend it to trying it.

Went for the first time on a Friday morning and they passed the first test, it was packed with locals.
Great coffee and service. My wife and I's mugs were never even less than half full.
She got the eggs benedict and didn't leave a drop behind. I got the breakfast hash and let me tell you, as someone that is more of an omelette guy over a hash I immediately doubted my order. IT WAS THE BEST HASH I'VE EVER HAD. I will go back just for the hash alone.
Add in that their chocolate chip pancake was delectable. It was plush and steady yet was soft like butter.
ON TOP OF IT ALL: It's all family and friends that work there. Very nice people and amazing service. Reading is lucky to have such a fine establishment.

February 1, 2025 I went for breakfast/lunch to the half-and-half restaurant in Reading mass. It was about 12:30 in the afternoon. I was greeted so warmly by the staff I had the pick your own omelette with the toast and the little potatoes I could choose any style toast I wanted and I’m gonna say I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could the atmosphere, the people, the warmth, the charming warmth, and the coffee because I am a coffee snob was probably the best hot coffee I’ve had and any restaurant I can’t say enough good things !! And another great thing at 5:30 you can go next-door for dinner to Zucca! Same great owners!!!
