2nd time and just as good as the first time.
Atmosphere is so upbeat and happening.
The food…suggestions
NY strip…so tender and perfectly cooked. Tater tots…..amazing (coming from someone who doesn’t love potatoes) Calamari perfectly battered and just the right amount of kick.
If an old fashioned is calling your name off their great drink menu….get it! Kudos to the bartender….SPOT ON!
And wrap up your meal with the tiramisu…
Amazing and huge…very shareable.
And huge shout out to our waitress Abby….best of the best with great energy, and a great knowledge of her menu
I give Post an 11 out of 10

First time dining here, my party of 4 was impressed with the atmosphere. Although tasty, the food was nothing that we couldn’t get at another restaurant for a larger portion and better quality at a much cheaper price. When we received our bill for $900 we did not feel like we received a $900 experience. Not only did they charge $8 per ice cube, the server asked us to leave as we were finishing our drinks beacuse they needed the table. The comments at the end asking us to leave left a terrible taste in our mouths and we have no plan to return, nor will we recommend.

Amazing restaurant! So happy northshore finally has a great steak house! Owner and staff are wonderful. Food is unreal. The design inside is impeccable as well!

Brought my husband here for his birthday and he said it was the best steak (NY Sirloin Oscar) he had in a really long time! I got the halibut with was also delicious. Abby, our waitress, was very attentive and friendly. She had a nice man training with her too! Thank you!

My husband and I were looking for a new place to try for dinner and Post 1917 was highly recommended.
We sat at the bar and had one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We split a Cesar salad and both had the New York Strip with Street Corn and Fried Rice with Lobster. Amazing dinner, atmosphere, and service. All top notch! Our bar tender, Cyndal, was outstanding! We will definitely be back!

I recently dined at POST 1917, Reading, MA and while there were some highlights, my experience was mixed.

First, dining room atmosphere was just okay—nothing particularly special or memorable. I had high hopes for the drinks, but unfortunately, they were a major letdown. I ordered a Cosmopolitan, and it was overwhelmingly bitter with far too much lime juice. I gave it another chance with a second one, but it had the similar issue, in addition too much cranberry juice. As a result I couldn't drink it and no accommodations were offered to recover from the disappointment.

On the bright side, the food was excellent. The flavors were well-executed, and everything was cooked to perfection. However, the steak itself, while tasty, didn’t meet the high-end quality I would expect from a premium steakhouse. If you’re used to places like The Capital Grille or Eddie V's, Ruth’s Chris, etc...you may find the steak here a step below in terms of quality.

Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the drink experience and atmosphere left something to be desired. I’d return for the food but would skip the cocktails next time.

Rudest waiter I've ever had at a restaurant

This was our first time checking out this spot, and we’re definitely coming back! Dinner was delicious—we had the 1917 salad, short rib, and steak frites. The espresso martini was fresh, and overall, the food was fantastic.

The best part, though, was the stellar customer service from Sebastian. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire menu and made excellent recommendations.

Thank you for making our experience even better!

My steak was excellent ( as it should have been, it was $46.00)however, the tuna appetizer was extremely small for $26.00.

First time trying out Post 1917.
Enjoyed a nice dinner with my wife.
Very well curated interior.
Food was delicious, our server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu.
We really enjoyed the whole experience and I will definitely be back.
For appetizer, we got crabcakes and calamari. Lots of flavor and nicely served.
For diner I got New York strip in mashed potatoes, my wife ordered Chilean sea bass.
And we finished off the dinner with tiramisu.
Everything was delicious.
Just be prepared to spend sone money. Definitely worth it.

Took my boyfriend here for his 40th birthday and he was in heaven. We started with the calamari which was plentiful and had a delicious glaze. He got the special which was a 22oz bone-in ribeye with 3 seared scallops and I got the filet mignon. We enjoyed the street corn and au gratin potatoes as a side. I thought everything was delectable, and after dinner he kept saying how delicious everything was (so both of us were happy!) To top it off, our server Luis was amazing. Very attentive and very informative. We will definitely be back for the next celebration!
