As frequent guests at Post 1917 in Reading since they opened in 2024, it's safe to say that this delightful restaurant has become one of our favorite culinary destinations. Every visit feels like a special occasion, and we always look forward to our time there. From the moment we step through the door, we are warmly greeted by Jason and his incredible team. Their hospitality sets the tone for a delightful evening, making us feel like cherished guests rather than just customers....
I have been to Post 1917 more than 4 times now and have always had an amazing experience. I have Celiac and was so happy to learn that 90%+ of their menu is gluten free. They take extra care with allergies and this was so nice not to have to wonder if I am going to be sick after a meal because of cross contamination. I have also visited with friends that are dairy free and they also had no issues! We have indulged in the oysters and they are by far the best around - every time....
I have been to Post several times since you opened in Reading. This night was far different ( 12/4/25). My friend ordered the Shrimp entree after her salad and shared app. The shrimp dish was so spicy hot that it wasn't edible. I tasted it, love spice but this was way beyond edible. The older waiter came by and I told him my friend could not eat it but she didn't want to make a fuss. He didn't say a word and walked away. Said nothing. He was not pleasant, no talk,...
