Overall, the food was good. Unfortunately, my fish and chips left a lot to be desired. The fries were excellent, but as for the fish, which had WAY too much batter, that's another story. I literally had to search for fish amongst the heavy batter that was served to me. I regretted not getting the Shrimp Scampi, which my mother had ordered and turned out to be delicious. My wife and father both loved their salmon entrees, and the chowder was excellent. I wouldn't order...
We got married at Hillside nine years ago and go there every year for anniversary and soon the tiki bar. This year it had rained so we had to sit in what looked like a storage area. The tavern with the indoor seating wasn't even open. It was loud messy and the waitstaff was moving tables around right behind us to make a room for someone playing music in that small area which made it so loud it was not enjoyable at all.
We were a party of 6 and all enjoyed our meals. Service was excellent! One in the party has celiac disease and the waitress provided a menu with safe options notated. A few of us were first-timers and were completely satisfied with our meals. We will be back!
