We have been here before and always had a great meal portions are great. Matt Silva was playing his guitar and singing away. Just perfect volume enough to hear the music but not to loud , could still have a conversation.
This was our first time at Hillside Tavern. We were greeted upon arrival by the only server in the restaurant. She was very nice and friendly even as we realized she was taking care of the whole place all by herself her high spirits did not falter. Food was okay, not the best but they made up by being extra nice. The place was full and even the chef was running plates to the tables and bussing at the same time. We had a great meal last night! Service and food were excellent. We had NE calamari and a soft pretzel for apps. Both were tasty and generous. Prime rib specials were cooked to perfection. The chicken special and short rib dinner were both yummy with creamy mashed potatoes and fresh veggies cooked just right. Drinks were super as well. Added bonus of live music. All around wonderful experience!
