A nice restaurant featuring delicious seafood and traditional American cuisine, great drinks, and a good selection of beer and wine. The service was really good in the bar, restaurant and host station. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful experience at The Fish Shack. The baked lobster casserole was absolutely incredible — rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The swordfish was another standout, cooked just right and full of fresh flavor.

The staff made the meal even better with their friendly service and welcoming attitude. Drinks were also great, rounding out a perfect seaside dinner.

The location can’t be beat — right in the heart of Rockport with beautiful harbor views and that classic New England charm. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Give it a 3.5 stars. We got the fish tacos and haddock rubben rye sandwiches. Each comes of one side. The fish tacos lightly fried. It has good flavor. It also comes with tartar sauce. The cold slaw was good.
The haddock rubben rye sandwich was flavorful. Light fried haddock and the rye holds up. I would definitely get the fish tacos and haddock sandwich again. We didn't have to wait. Thr food came out fast and our waitress was atten. No outdoor seating. Parking can be tricky and it's not free.

My wife says their fried shrimp is superb! I love their haddock, salmon, and scallops. I am gluten sensitive and they have taken care of me every time. The servers are so kind, professional, and attentive. They always seat us near the window so we feel like we are dining outdoors, right in Rockport harbor.

The service was mediocre. Our waiter forgot to place our appetizer order and when we asked about it, they simply said they didn’t even realize we wanted appetizer. The lobster roll was cold and not worth the price.

My wife and I spent the day in Rockport and wanted to try a restaurant that we had not tried before. This was a very good choice. The dining room is not large but I was glad to see that they did not try to squoosh people in. We sat by the window which added to the atmosphere. Our server I believe was named Valerie and she was excellent. Everything we had was very tasty. We were there for lunch on a weekday and had to wait 10 minutes for our table. It appears to be a popular place because as as we left there was quite a waiting list. They have a good system where they text you when your table is ready. We definitely will go back.
