We were in Boston for vacation and decided to spend a day just exploring the coast of Massachusetts. We hopped on a commuter rail out of North Station, and took it to the end of the line in Rockport. The Whales Jaw Café was less than a minute walk from the train station. It was 11 in the morning on a Friday, and when we walked in, we found an authentic Massachusetts Diner, with live acoustic ukulele music being played by a local. There was homemade local desserts and the friendliest restaurant workers we’ve ever run into. We didn’t rush. We took our time to absorb the atmosphere and look at the amazing local artwork that was hanging on the wall. All told we probably sat there for over an hour and just enjoyed the moment. a 10 minute walk from the water and if you’re looking for a peaceful, no frills break from the madness of Society…. This is the place to do it. We absolutely loved it and we will definitely be back!
