Village Pancake House is a well-known breakfast spot celebrated for its friendly service and delicious food. This restaurant can get busy, creating a lively atmosphere and a possible wait. Standout menu items include fluffy cheese omelettes, blueberry pancakes, and particularly delectable biscuits with hot apples. One reviewer raved about the lobster & asparagus omelette, praising its delicious hollandaise and stellar service. While the sides, such as potatoes and bacon, may be unevenly cooked, the main dishes are consistently enjoyed. One visitor loved their scrambled eggs, bacon, and blueberry pancakes so much that they returned three times during their stay.
The Village Pancake House, located in an old converted New England Colonial home, has been a landmark on the North Shore for many years. The current owners have successfully maintained the old traditions while bringing fresh energy to the operation. For those seeking an incomparable and nostalgic atmosphere, this may be the greatest breakfast restaurant in the United States. Early-bird specials can save some money, but the value remains even for late risers. The menu has enough options to satisfy a variety of tastes, with the Quick Start breakfast offering multiple choices. Open for breakfast and lunch, the restaurant operates from Thursday to Monday, though it is advisable to check online for current hours. Note: No cards are accepted; an ATM is available on the premises for those who forget cash.
