Great food and excellent service! We both got the grilled cheese on sourdough, best I’ve had! They were also very helpful wrt destructuring our to-go sandwich (for the next day) so it wouldn’t get soggy.

I love food. My partner and I travel often, and wherever we go we try different foods. Sometimes the food is good but not great and it doesn't stick in our memory. We do have a few cafes around the continent that we have forever stored in our memory banks, though, and this one might top the list. We have had four different pastries across two days, all of them heavenly. We had their seasonal sticky bun latte and it is phenomenal. We got their apple orchard sandwich and talked about it for days after... It is simply divine. We live nowhere near this place, but if we did we would frequent as often as we could. Give it a visit if you are in Salem, it is truly one of the best food experiences I have ever had.

Great food and coffee, I understand it may be expensive to run a coffee shop especially in this area. But $6.44 large coffee with an automatic 14% fee on top of taxes is pretty insane. Should be transparent with guests before slipping that onto the check.

We went here twice, once for breakfast and lattes and the second time for lunch. I’m normally not a big sandwich fan but the pressed sandwiches were amazing! Their espresso drinks and baked goods were also great. Clean restroom, friendly people.
Please note there’s a 14% charge for the staff automatically added on the total bill. I always tip for good service, but was surprised to see it already on the bill. I support living wages, but also transparency, so I’d recommend the owners post this somewhere more visible (if it’s posted, which I didn’t see).

Great location, the apple cider was literally the best I’ve had. Got it with the house made caramel sauce, it was delicious iced and warm. The atmosphere is cute!

the variety of made stuff is fine it's one of the best bakeries on the north shore. a question if you put artisan in bake shop. why do you use m&ms candy marshmallow fluff and butterscotch baking chips that is artificial based. there are organic versions way better.

I usually love coming to A&J for a sweet treat or sandwich, but really disappointed with service and food today. I ordered 2 bacon bagel sandwiches, added avocado (+$2). When we opened up the sandwiches, there was no bacon or avocado on either sandwich. Those were the main two thing we were looking for and paid extra for. Paying $26 for the 2 incorrectly made sandwiches was sad, since I usually love A&J 😔
