Do not miss this spot if you are visiting Salem. We had treats from our Air B&B which caused us to go in person. Everything was lovely, delicious and fresh. Customer service was fantastic. We had croissants, a bagel sandwich, fresh bread, the most amazing cookies and, my favorite, the spinach and leek puff with everything seasoning. The coffee was great too. Thanks so much!
A&J King have been selling excellent traditional french bakery items for years now and have become a local institution. Over time, they've slowly been adding more vegan options to the menu. Vegan muffins, cheese, and cream cheese are available daily. They also sometimes have vegan cake, sandwich, and soup specials. If I make it back to this area I’ll definitely be coming back here. The food was delicious, but the chai latte was my favorite. The staff was very friendly and very helpful answering any questions I had about the menu and just the area of Salem in general. Loved the atmosphere the morning I was there. It was a little busy, but there wasn’t a wait. I found a table easily, got my order quickly, and enjoyed the vibe.
