A&J now offers vegan cream cheese for bagels, vegan cheese as a substitute on sandwiches, and a really wonder "veggie press" sandwich that can be easily modded to be vegan (sub vegan cheese and omit the pesto spread -- try their house made hummus on it instead!)

Do not miss this spot if you are visiting Salem. We had treats from our Air B&B which caused us to go in person. Everything was lovely, delicious and fresh. Customer service was fantastic. We had croissants, a bagel sandwich, fresh bread, the most amazing cookies and, my favorite, the spinach and leek puff with everything seasoning. The coffee was great too. Thanks so much!
A&J King have been selling excellent traditional french bakery items for years now and have become a local institution. Over time, they've slowly been adding more vegan options to the menu. Vegan muffins, cheese, and cream cheese are available daily. They also sometimes have vegan cake, sandwich, and soup specials.
