my go to for some incredible boba! staff is always lovely and trying their best.
Super yummy banh mi, very kind and quick staff, great product selection. Good spot for a casual yet awesome dinner. The boba is good too!!
Love this little store in downtown.
Such a great place to consider when you just need a quick run for hotpot or other Asian essentials but don’t want to drive all the way to HMart. Unfortunately Salem/the North Shore tends to fall short when it comes to Korean, Japanese or Chinese options so this store is heaven sent lol
I was really excited to go to this place for months. Saw many posts and reviews raving about it. When we walked it’s we weren’t even greeted, waited at the register for a bit before being noticed and then once we went to order it seemed all we were was an inconvenience.
I thought they cooked the food there, it’s all made in a microwave (the bao buns) - we waited 20 min for two cold , all microwaved ingredients and then they were so spicy we couldn’t even eat more then half of one.
They make it seem as if they are making these fresh amazing bao buns- so much so we drove 2 hours to try them - and they literally just use a microwave to heat up a premade bao you can buy anywhere with premade meat for it to then just be cold anyway once served.
So if you’re traveling specifically for this reason - just don’t. Over all if you need an Asian market - great. If you want to go to get amazing food, you will be disappointed.
This mart is an absolute disaster! So when I went in, the cashier was rude, selfish, and annoying, kept asking for a coffee, also tried to over charge me for some smelly sushi, the whole store was very dirty, also my son wanted a plushie from there but it looked old, and it was extremely overpriced, he had a tantrum and was crying and was on the floor, he got very dirty just because they can't make a better and cheaper stuffed animal? if im being really honest I would probably just absolutely NOT recommend this mart HONESTLY this was a complete let down...
The banh mi are amazing here also love that they have Hawaiian Sun top tier asian market got so many goodies
I have an ebt card, and they accept ebt but wouldn’t let me get rice balls, doesn’t make any-sense.
Thats terrible she charged me 19 dollars 73 sent for 2 coffe and one snack. This is not cool she over charged me and that is not ok. If you are tourist do not go there
Okay, so I stopped by this store and saw a sign that threw me off: “Pay by cash and save 4% – All prices shown are for cash sales. Salem residents get 6% off with ID.”
Here’s the thing: if you’re using a credit card, the price you see on the shelf might NOT be what you pay at the register. I looked it up later, and Massachusetts law explicitly bans stores from charging extra for credit card use. Cash discounts are allowed, but this feels sneaky – like they’re advertising the “discounted” cash price upfront and hiding a 4% upcharge for cards. Not cool.
I’m all for supporting local businesses, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. If you shop here, ask the staff directly if credit card users pay more than the displayed price. And if something feels off, the MA Attorney General’s office has clear guidelines about this stuff (Google “MA credit card surcharge law” – it’s worth a quick read!).
TL;DR: Check your receipt if you use plastic here. You might be surprised.

I've gotten multiple onigiri and bao buns from this place, everything is always super yummy. They have a ton of snacks and drinks, and also some wonderful customer service. They're so nice and welcoming!
Amazing caring, and fast. Love this little shop so much!
Very cute shop and they have very nice cashiers. Lots of different asian goods and they’re really good most of the time. I come by every now and then and pick up a new item each time. Must visit!
Thai tea didn’t taste at all like Thai tea, and the boba had a strange licorice-like flavor to it :(. Also, the tea was made from a powder, I would expect more from a $10 tea.
They make the best Bánh mì sandwich on the north shore. It would be the best I've had on the east coast if it had more meat. Awesome ??.
