I have been going to Bertini's since high school. We would go every Friday night for pizza. I graduated in 1961. Pat was our server. I will miss Bertini's when you close. Do you have a closing date. Ann Houghton

Food and service is okay.. They have a few really nice servers but depends who you get.. person we dealt with tonight ignored us all night.. judging by the other reviews I shouldn't be surprised this place is closing.

The decor was really interesting, I don’t usually comment on the decor but it was interesting. It felt like we were in someone’s house or something. It had a very specific ambiance to it that gave it a vibe that only the locals knew about it/ went there.I thought that the service was great. We had a new server who was very sweet and really funny. We absolutely adored her, there was one time where we tried grabbing her attention and she started walking away, and then she realised a couple seconds later. It was really funny. We all laughed about it a little bit later. As far as the food goes, it was fine. The food was definitely not memorable but the eggplant parmigiana was alright, a little light on the eggplant but we were hungry so it filled us up. I was definitely full and the portions were generous. The best part were the mozzarella sticks, which although not heavily breaded but super cheesy bc they used string cheese, which made it feel like it really leaned in on the whole homemade feel. I don’t know if I’d recommend it unless you’re hungry and need a quick bite.

Laid back and great food. Ate on the bar side and it was a good spot to grab a bite before moving on to the next destination. Food was perfect, and portions were just right. Best fish sandwich and fried shrimp in the area. Not greasy and the breading was nice and light. Nothing fancy or over the top that ruins something good. We even played KENO!

Bertinis crushes it yet again for north shore bar pizza! My 8 year old son in true family form polished off a cheese pizza and said "can we just go here from now on...". So when Uber eats will deliver to Rhode Island it's go time! Recommend steak bomb pizza, or my dads favorite back in the day, Salami well done... Or just go cheese. Or pepperoni. Just go!

A great neighborhood restaurant and lounge in Salem with excellent food, reasonable prices, and a relaxed atmosphere.

I was in for dinner last Saturday and I must say things were not up to the standards I have come to expect from Bertini's. Baked potato rather hard and dry, ordered carrots and peas were brought out. Had prime rib, which was excellent but it was the smallest I've ever seen. One person had shrimp because you were out of a special at 5:30, with onion rings and fries, the fries were firgotten. Another person had spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. The garlic bread was firgotten and the meatballs were cool on the outside and molten lava hot on the inside leading to the conclusion that they had been microwaved. I have always enjoyed your restaurant and I truly hope this is just a bad day all around.

This is one of the best, mostly kept secrets on the north shore. Service is consistent and so is the food. Lots of Italian dishes and the pizza is the best on the menu. Seafood dishes and specials round out the menu so there is always something for everyone. It is worth a try if you are not already a regular customer of about 50 years similar to me.

Excellent food; excellent service. The lasagna was perfect.

This place may be stuck in an age from 40 years ago but the prices also convey that memo. Their chicken picatta was perfection and their pizza is yummy! Steak tips are great too.
