Truly authentic and very, very flavorful dishes in a comfortable atmosphere with outstanding service. We’ve been there twice and they continue to amaze us. Perfectly prepared meats, the lamb is succulent and the spices are amazing. This is a place where we’l keep going and I’m sure we’ll be welcomed like family in the Moroccan tradition and served authentic, hearty, filling and amazing food. Go there!!

I like Blue Fez a lot!
Incredible espresso. Good, calm vibes with chill music. Nice hostess.
I don't know what these 1 star reviewers ate, but, everything my wife and I ordered was excellent. Fresh ingredients.

I really wanted to like this place as Moroccan food is literally one of my favorite cuisines in the world and I was really excited to eat here. The decor was lovely and service was great. We started off with the lentil soup and eggplant appetizer which were pretty decent.
We order the Moroccan couscous as our main entree and this is where things went haywire. We happen to make tagine at home and are very familiar. The chef lied and said he made the tagine in the tagine pot they brought it in which is impossible. Moroccan tagine makes the chicken soft, slow cooked, and fall off the bone. The chicken they brought us was quickly sauce pan cooked, un-marinated lazy and wrong. The tagine pot they brought it in was even cold. The chicken was tough and disappointing…what’s worse is when we asked the waitress to ask the chef how it made it he lied and said he made it in the tagine pot. I found it very insulting that he thought we wouldn’t know better…you should never scam your customers to save a bit of time in the kitchen. Taking shortcuts like this will ruin a restaurant’s reputation!
Underrated Salem Gem! Their food is authentic and fantastic! Don’t forget to ask for the tea.

The Couscous Fassi was fantastic. Perfect now that the days are starting to get cooler.

Food was not good. Similar to other one star reviews. A friend who really liked this place insisted on bringing me here and it was empty on a Saturday night when every other place in town was super busy. Waitress came outside to coax us in while I was having a private conversation with my friend trying not to even go in. 2 apps and one main course was $100. The best bites of food was mid. Some of it was inedible. Adriatic is an example of a Mediterranean restaurant in Salem that does it right at a similar price but it’s gourmet and with excellent wait staff. Just read the other poor reviews and the owners horrible responses and you will know everything you need to know about this place. Even the pita bread was both burned and undercooked at the same time. This restaurant is a misfire on all cylinders. Normally I would give a place a second try before forming an opinion but as a New Yorker from Hell’s Kitchen with some of the toughest restaurant competition in the United States who has eaten at many fine Moroccan restaurants (the best ones are in Paris I would say) this is just bad. Sometimes a second visit is clearly not warranted. If you go, you can’t say you haven’t been warned.

3 of us dined and had fabulous meals. 2nd cuisine where I could be a vegetarian. Shared a salad La Marocaine. Great beets and grilled sweet potato accompanied by a feta cheese and melange of veggies and herbs. Couscous Royale with braised lamb shank. Veggies were perfectly cooked, fragrant saffron ginger broth and plump couscous pearls. Tagine Jelbana and a grilled chicken dish were spot on. Not the least expensive but portions are big and you will have a great lunch or dinner. Added to our North Shore rotation. We had a good bottle of wine which raised cost pp.

Love Blue Fez! My family organized a birthday party for me here with about 20 people. Fantastic Moroccan food: grape leaves, grilled chicken with delicious vegetarian couscous, fresh Mediterranean salad, bread and hummus... all delicious. Just as important, the staff were friendly and flexible--- we had some late arrivals, and they just accommodated everyone. The restaurant itself is lovely inside. A special thanks to our delightful server, Sydney, and to Tori who was so helpful in organizing it.

I cannot say I expected a Moroccan Restaurant in a tourist town in MA to be good. I was so wrong. The food is INCREDIBLE, with brillant texture and taste. The foods hums in your mouth. We went twice in one day.
I recommend family sharing, with a salad, hor d’oeuvres, main, and desert. Standouts are La Marocaine salad and the Chicken Fassi.
Amazing service, we had the server Sydney and she was incredible.
