Solid option. Usually get the fish and chips when I go. Good portions for a good price, can’t complain about that.

Best fried clams. Cooked to perfection. The tarter sauce is fantastic. I'm telling you, better than woodmans.

I Like Cappys, been going there for about 5 years, the clams are always small ,and tender, they are not overcooked like i have had at farms in essex, also at lobster land in glouster, caoppys are always light golden ,a couple of time during the off season had a chance to speak with the owner nd his wife, both are very pleasant people ,look forward to going back 4/5 time a year, portion sizes are generous, prices are very reasonable ,for the quality that you get prices should be higher ,my friends all agree,100% go there

Fried Seafood take out stand. The dining room is closed since Covid, (reason for 4 stars) but it's easy to take your meal across the street to the beautiful waterside park. Just don't let your food be unguarded or friendly seagulls will snatch your meal! I had a shrimp, scallops, and fish. It was perfect. I look forward to returning next time I'm in Salem. And a few doors down, you can grab some unusual delicious ice cream for dessert if you have room.

Came on a Tuesday and most places were closed, so we had few options. Got a Steak Bomb and Chicken Fingers here and they were pretty good. I never ate here because it always looked so gross from the outside, but the food was ok.

The only thing I get this place is the fried dough so this is no judgment on the food. The fried dough is definitely the best like the best I've ever had. I wish the sign was a little better so that people knew that this place was called.

Their seafood is so fresh and prepared beautifully! The owner is a brilliant cook! The tartar sauce is very good! Basically everything we have ordered here was delicious and very good!!! ?

Their seafood is Spot On. The prices are excellent.

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. The customer service here is terrible. The guy not sure if he's the owner started screaming at me for no reason. I thought of maybe he's just having a bad day. But found out other people have had back experiences with him too! He's legit a psychotic piece of s**** Feel bad for the girl at the window having to deal with his screaming. My advice is steer clear from this nasty place. It was a filthy dump inside. I'll never ever return!

I meet friends in this place a lot! This is my favorite spot to pass a nice evening. I visit this spot many times. The cooking is excellent, the staff is welcoming and the prices are fair. I enjoy going in this spot for a nice supper.

I found the food somewhat bland nothing special Took awhile to receive order because they only had 3 people on staff... Guy frying food was sweating like crazy It wasn't my cup of tea

We came here on their last day of the season. Everything around them was closed. We originally came here to try the Chop Suey sandwich that's offered a few doors down but again. Closed.

Shockingly good haddock sandwich . 3 different times Ive been and super satisfied each time. Get the haddock not the cheaper fish sandwich. Fried dough balls are good also , Light and airy

This is one of my favorite places to go for fried clams. I usually order the boat clams & French fries. Their clams are so fresh and sweet that the lightly batter does not take away from the flavors. You have to overlook some of the negatives like the ambiance and staff, but it's at The Willows which isn't gourmet dining experience to begin with.

No-frills market priced cheap quality Fried seafood place! The guy on the line looks like he's been there since day one. Whole belly clam roll includes fries. We also got a small order of onion rings. Clams: sweet juicy, no sand and fried to perfection. Fries: meh.... frozen out of the bag. Nothing special. onion rings: fresh battered to order. Pencil thin rings with a bit of snap and salty. Tartar sauce: house made, even balance of vinegar and relish. Definitely ask for extra. A hole in the wall that definitely has stood the test of time.
