Amazing vibes and very amiable service. The menu was fresh and delicious. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone. Convenient rates and generous meals. Keep up the great work.

Had a great experience in this spot with my girlfriend. The food was served rapidly and the customer service is just good. Prices are fair.

GROSS. The empanadas were so oily and inedible. There was so much hot oil that burned through the STYROFOAM CONTAINER. We ordered two burrito bowls and we got one as a burrito. The portions were tiny and the food was over priced. First time ordering and will NEVER order from there again. Yuck!!

Cozy and delicious Mexican restaurant.

I ordered from grub hub. Took over 2 hrs to get the food delivered. The food was delayed at the restaurant.

Too bad this place just doesn't have great food. Had fajitas here and instead of the traditional fajitas with peppers onions and tortillas, it turned out to be grilled chicken, half a quesadilla and rice/ beans. Guacamole we ordered was bland and brown. Too bad as it's a nice little place with a decent location, but the food just isn't good.

quality of the food and service. Serve a margarita in a margarita glass, not a beer glass. Bring back your white table cloths

We love cilantro! Esther is the best. We moved out of town about eight years ago but still go back for takeout (in spite of 20 minute drive) a few times a year and Esther remembers us each time. Food is amazing. Try the nachos - so fresh and yummy!

We started with the apple cider margaritas and some nacho . Everything was made fresh to order! I had tamales while my friend had a quesadilla and both were delicious! Our bartender was exceptional and her mom (the owner) stuck her head out to thank us for our compliments. I will definitely be back our next trip to Salem!!!!

Overpriced for what it is. Portions are too small and the food is on the low end of Mexican restaurants in terms of taste.

Sadly, Cilantro has gone downhill and I wouldn't recommend it. The food was meh - fantastic tortilla soup was followed by uninspired and overcooked meat. The ambiance? Completely lacking. My wife and I were there at 7pm on a Saturday night and there were only two other tables occupied. I think the best item on the menu, according to the people I overheard at the bar, were the margaritas. Hard pass for this restaurant.

Was out all day exploring Salem & it was so hard to get to a restaurant that didn't have a massive waiting time. We called here they told us they would open in 10 mins & besides waiting a little bit for a waitress, we did have some amazing food!! the Margaritas were on point & delicious! Great atmosphere & the young guy waiting on us was so kind, polite & apparently was the owner/Chef's son. The young guy was doing so much, hostessing, waitressing & @ one point we saw him behind the bar slinging drinks. As we waited for our check, he came over & asked how our experience was & that's a nice sight to see. I would highly recommend this place & can't wait to go back!

Let me tell you why Cilantro is one of the best restaurants I have ever gone to. Last night I was a walk in two top. As you may have noticed I know exactly what it's like to work in restaurants. I worked in restaurants as a host + server + "busboy" for all of my late teens + well into my 20's to get by it is not a job for the weak spirited. Often I remember leaving shifts a husk of a human being + especially on a busy Saturday night {which is exactly what this was}. We walked in exhausted + starving after an amazing day of discovering Salem in its peak season, Halloween. A younger man greeted us bused the first table available and sat us + two other larger parties in quick succession. Having the experience I've had in the past as a host I hated to ask but felt with all our bags we may have been better suited for a corner spot we noticed + he moved us without hesitation or attitude in the kindest way. As a former host I know how easy it is to get annoyed at customers running a host around on a busy night like this so I apologized in excess and went on with our meal. After receiving our drinks I noticed he wasn't just busing the tables + seating the customers he was taking the orders too! I watch this young guy in amazement as he juggled all three jobs with a jovial attitude seamlessly switching from one to the next on what I can imagine is one of their busiest nights of the year. I couldn't be more impressed. If I hadn't worked in a restaurant before I wouldn't know to be. So I write this review to say this was the best restaurant I've ever eaten in for this reason. Not to mention I cleared every plate happily because the food was also amazing. I sat in awe as I saw the sweet bartender bantering + this server holding the whole restaurant on his shoulders and thought it had to be shared. He wasn't alone the other member on staff I noticed were also holding their own. So I couldn't be more happy with my experience at Cilantro. It's places like this that give the perfect end to a vacation with delicious food + an overall remarkable attitude in today's America. Thank you for your service I can't wait to bring the rest of my family back.
