Kakawa was amazing! We got a flight to try some of the options and all were enjoyable. I most enjoyed the zapoteca drinking chocolate which was strong and bitter with a fruity finish. Would definitely recommend this as a pit stop for warming drinks and baked goods or as a main destination for a truly special chocolate experience when in Salem.
The staff are kind and the space is cozy. I did not taste the truffles but the chocolate elixirs are incredible. They allow you to taste them before buying which helped me a lot. The 3 oz is more than enough.
The lady Genie was the greatest. Real easy to talk to, great customer service, and she helped me with everything I needed to know when most people would have got fed up, she stayed patient and was real easy to talk to.
