We had a delightful time dining with friends outdoors on the patio on a perfect August night. The lobster spaghetti, sliced duck, salmon puttanesca , and pasta bolognese were all well prepared and tasty. We had to wait a bit for their arrival, but had so much to catch up with each other, we didn't really care. Great wine list - try the Italian Vernecchio, a dry white.
Everything about this place is really good to great. The interior decor, service, food, and cocktails. After one visit, this became one of our local favorites.
Ledger is always an easy choice for us, but this time they really hit it out of the part. I hosted a birthday party for my friends. I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate the staff going above and beyond to really make our celebration feel special. The food, of course, was amazing as always.
We had 2 apps. The pork belly was very good, we also tried the wing special. They were so over sauced we couldn't eat them. Service was great, drinks were ok. I'd would try it again before writing it off
Our apps and salads were very good. Both mains (duck and steak) were undercooked and accompaniments didn't add anything to the dish on the steak. Disappointed that both mains were misses for us. Probably wouldn't come back. Very pretty restaurant in an old bank. Service was good.
Amazing food - the bolognese was divine as was the duck. I love the NA options available! Will definitely return and thank you for acknowledging my bestie's bday!
It's not easy to impress me with food. I find that most things are just “ok”. I was absolutely blown away with how delicious our entire meal was. From the fluffy popovers and heirloom tomatoes toast to my husband's steak, my daughter's house- made mac and cheese, gazpacho soup, to one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had, EVERYTHING we tasted was absolutely delicious!!! The atmosphere of the historic bank decorated with recovered items from when it was working, created a unique experience that I highly recommend for everyone visiting Salem!!
The popovers, Brussels sprouts and tomato buratta salad were excellent apps. We had salmon, duck, steak and chicken. Every entree was great. My granddaughter had the mac and cheese off the kids menu and it was perfect.
The quality of the food, donuts and pastry are very high. The food is delicious overall but the brunch menu options are so limited..I don't recommend as a brunch destination. I booked for a birthday brunch and it was embarrassing actually because of the poor service that day, which I do not believe is typical for Ledger. Either they are really short staffed or our server was just having a really bad day. Between the costs and order issues I would lean towards choosing a different restaurant in the future for any kind of group celebration (there were only five of us so I would say it's a small group at that).. Salem has so many wonderful places to choose from Id recommend this for dinner instead and not for a special occasion.
The restaurant is very cool with the bank setting. Everything we ordered was delicious. They even remembered my husband's bday and brought out a lovely wood board with dessert and a written message on it. Class act and worth every penny!!!

Brunch was good and everything was great for all members of my party. I wish there had been at least two healthy options for high protein- low carb or calorie options for my diabetic needs.
Great food, great setting. Special shout out to Martina super friendly and extremely knowledgeable on wine pairing.
Brunch was great I had the steak and eggs my wife had chicken and waffles the staff was great . They also had a live dj and he played a good mix of music . I was very satisfied. And the mystery mimosa was perfect .
This is an excellent special occasion restaurant. 6 of us made a reservation and attended a bachelorette dinner. The vibe is just lovely and the staff is exceptional. The smoked duck and mushroom pasta were both big hits. But the must have is the pop over appetizers. So simple but the butter and gravy just blew us away. The staff provided us with a sip of champagne for a toast and a beautiful dessert board for us to share. This meal was the highlight of our bachelorette weekend.
Love it!! You def need to try it!
