Crispy chicken sandwiches are all the rage these days. Nashville this, hot honey that. You haven’t had a chicken sandwich like this. The Swiss cheese melted onto the perfectly toasted bread is a delight tough to put into words. The aioli is the perfect complement to the nicely fried cutlet. If you’re anywhere around Salem, you must try this sandwich. I’m very glad I did!

I love this cozy local spot! It’s beautiful inside. All of the food is fresh and the portions are very generous. They offer a small charge to a split dish, which is convenient and economical. The staff is lovely and they offer delicious cocktails, mocktails, a full wine/beer list.
We also like doing takeout for picnics outside or beach sandwiches. Our favorite items are the Italian, crispy chicken, and the Cubano. Their specials have been great too!! We continue to come back to Maitland and you should too

Let me tell you something about Andy and Holly - I went down to get a meatball sub this evening and saw a friend that just told me he got the last meatball. Unfortunate for me, but here's the kicker. Andy was toiling away in the kitchen and the place was cranking, not a seat empty in the house. Andy said what do you need my friend and I said no chance at a meatball sub? I can swing through later. I went back to work and completely forgot about the sub, but he went out of his way to make MORE and a half hour after they closed one of the employees HAND DELIVERED ME A MEATBALL SUB. Absolute class acts. The meatball sub was a 10/10, will definitely be back for more!! Stop by and give them a try I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!

We had an absolutely wonderful meal! Holly & Andy are knocking it out of the park with farm fresh and FLAVORFUL food. Everything was so delicious. My husband said it was the best sandwich he has ever had and the Asparagus Arancini was sooo good. Can’t wait to go back & bring friends. Oh and they did a wonderful job on the decor as well. The subtle essential oil diffuser in the bathroom and all the small touches were so lovely too. And the space is beautiful. I love the recycled pennies that decorate the bar area.

We ordered a selection of sandwiches and salads from Maitland for lunch on my sister's wedding day (to enjoy while we were all getting ready at the Hotel Salem). The Maitland team was WONDERFUL to work with--responsive, accommodating and friendly. Their attention to detail on things like allergies was very much appreciated, and the packaging was perfect.
Everyone agreed the food was great. Would absolutely recommend ordering from here, and can't wait to eat in sometime soon myself!
