Went here on what’s likely the busiest weekend of the year for Salem. Halloween. We sat outside to avoid the wait and even though it was close to 45-55 degrees out and I accentuate that it was BUSY, the food was still perfect, and the food came out without being over due. Like Gordon Ramsay level perfection. We were all so impressed that we were just talking about it now, months later. I apologize for not leaving a review sooner!

Linsey was a great server, the dish and chips were pretty good (loved the fries, the fish was very fresh and flaky), beer was cold, service was fast, and I would recommend stopping here for sure! I came on a Thursday towards the end of October and was seated within 5 minutes

Went here for dinner while visiting Salem. Worth the wait on line for sure! Got the buffalo wings, shepherds pie and fish and chips and a Guinness. I would highly recommend coming here, I would come here again simply for the food. Flavorful, great portion and delicious! Not “touristy” at all, just a great place for some Irish food and beer!

It's tight but the food is ok. Small menu but it's a tourist town so it was expected
Olde Main Street Pub has become a stable for every trip we make to Salem. This year, our first trip with our daughter and without fail we stopped for dinner. Steak tips are amazing as always, perfectly cooked and all three of us enjoyed every bite of our meal, and we look forward to our meal every year.

Customers who choose to give you feedback, whether you agree with it or not, are doing you an enormous favor. Based on the tone of the responses to customer feedback, I have chosen never to spend my hard earned money here. It’s very easy to vote with one’s feet!

Based on the response below, you can see what I mean. We had dinner at another restaurant and the hostess was polite and respectful when she told us we had to wait and that we might have to split up our group. You get what you give. It’s your business—run it how you’d like. But based on these reviews, your attitude isn’t going to win you new business.
The waitress was good and the food was OK, but the hostess was awful. We stood in the cold rain waiting for a table and she would not seat our party of 7 together, even though there were open tables right next to us. She actually put half our party on the other side of another table. She was also rude and condescending. We would have gone to another restaurant if the lines were not so long. There are so many other places to eat in Salem, that I wouldn’t bother with the rudeness from this place.

Had an amazing lunch here during our visit to Salem! The manager was present and ran the place incredibly well. Our server Faye was friendly and attentive. Order the fish and chips!
