I LOVE Rizzos in Salem (Vinnin Sq). The new owners are the best. The food is so delicious and clearly made with love and the staff are so nice and friendly. Great atmosphere.
The order of a single pizza took too long, the crust feels like it's premade / too hard / feels like a frozen pizza base with added fresh ingredients on top. The crust feels hard, bland, flat and not airy. Way too little of basil amount for a margarita pizza ( needs more basil ) Asked for an eggplant to be added, received not roasted eggplant but a square looking pieces of buttered frozen eggplant bites that's been thrown in a fryer and then cut in half and added on top of the pizza. The cafe interior is clean and pleasant, the staff attentive and kind. But food needs more work.

1st time trying this local place. Very disappointed. Margarita pizza I ordered had no basil on it that I could find. Also ordered the Chicken Gyro and paid extra for feta cheese. Very Very small amount added. Pictures don't lie. On top of that, when I went to pick up my order, thr lady at the counter had her back to me and didn't acknowledge me until the cook greeted me from the ovens. At least 40 seconds standing there. There was nobody in the place at the time. Too many other Very good local places go to in Swampscott. Probably won't be going back.
