Ordered a coffee and apple donut. Donut was excellent. Coffee was very weak no taste. A couple of us tried it and had the same experience. Maybe something wrong with coffee machine I’m not sure.Very friendly server.

I grew up right down the street from Ziggy’s. Their doughnuts are 2nd to none. I do believe they fry the doughnuts in animal lard. Don’t quote me on that.Thats why there is a texture and taste like no other. especially on the chocolate honey dipped. That is my go to and the chocolate chip muffin. For me at least.The taste is amazing. It is a small little place but has been around forever because of the quality product they produce daily. Then come the holiday season. Their pies are to die for. Pumpkin Pie ??. ?? Apple Pie Chocolate Cream Pie chocolate ? ?. I recommend stopping by and there is very little seating but you can have coffee and a doughnut, read the paper at the counter seats and enjoy yourself.
Vegetarian options: Do not believe there is any
Dietary restrictions: If you have any don’t go there hahaha

First thing you will notice when going there are the very nice owners! The lady there was very friendly and one of my favorite people I met on my trip to Salem.
The food was very good, actually it was better than the stuff you find in town for tree times the price. That's another thing, their prices are normal and not inflated from tourism.
This humble little shop currently holds the title of best donuts in my book. Let me make this clear —any donut shop without Boston creme is just not worth it to me, and Ziggy's absolutely nails this flavor. Their raspberry filled is also incredible, which is my other favorite. The jelly is perfect, from texture to taste. The filling for all of their filled donuts generously fills the entirety of the donut. The dough is just the right amount of supple without being too cakey or mushy. The baker's mastery of their craft is evident.FYI donuts are only made Tues-Fri, and on the other days they're open, they sell other well honed pastries. My personal favorite from these is the Boston creme cake. It's an extremely moist cake version of their Boston creme donut. The chocolate frosting on them is heavenly. The lady at the counter is also very kind and helpful. Donut lovers —GO!

I had the pleasure of walking into Ziggys after trying to find fresh doughnuts other than your dunkin and honeydew processed ones that are everywhere. The prices are fantastic. The service was great. Even ended up sitting and having a chat even though it was going to be in and out. They do cash and card. The doughnuts were amazing. Will be there more often when time allows. It's so close to where I work on the water there in town.
Parking: There are 2, 15 minute spot out front. Other than that other street parking is by permit but if you are just grabbing and going you should be fine.

Delicious donuts! Boston cream and jelly filled among our favorites, but all were delicious! Hard to find a family-run place like this these days.
