Barker House by Wedgewood Weddings

From our first appointment to tour the venue we felt so comfortable and welcome. As soon as we walked in, we fell in love with the feel of the original building and then walked down the hall, and it was a completely different vibe...still beautiful, but light and airy, perfect for the reception. Every question we had was answered in a smart, friendly manner and we never felt rushed. The entire planning team was amazing...they were very responsive (usually answered emails within a few hours to a day), were able to handle the few unusual requests I had for the day of (wanted fake Christmas trees at our October wedding, lol) and helped us make every decision super easy. I can't say enough great things about Mandy, our day of coordinator, she made everything feel so effortless and easy on the wedding day. Even when my MOH was having trouble with my bustle she pitched in to help. Everyone couldn't stop talking about the food, the options felt unlimited, everything was delicious (especially the panko crusted chicken, my favorite!!) and they were so good about accommodating the allergies of a few of our guests. Having our wedding at the Barker House was the best experience and I will be recommending them to everyone I know

Our experience at Barker House was absolutely incredible! The staff was amazing — so friendly, welcoming, and always quick to answer any questions we had. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. The venue itself is gorgeous (we may be a little biased because we love this area!) and the food was out of this world. We were dreaming about it after our tasting, and so many of our guests told us how much they loved the food at the wedding.

The all-inclusive package made planning so much easier, especially with the cake/desserts and florist included — both vendors know the venue so well, which made everything seamless. We did choose to use our own DJ, photographer, and officiant (also offered in the package), but honestly the value of the package couldn’t be beat.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to celebrate here, and we’d recommend Barker House to any couple looking for the perfect wedding day experience! We wish we could celebrate here every weekend.

BEST DAY EVER!! I got engaged at the Scituate lighthouse last year on 09/14/25 & from there we started wedding planning. I'm originally from South Boston so we knew we wanted to get married in Boston and have the reception in Scituate. We did a tour at the Barker House and fell in love with the place (formally use to be Barker Tavern) we locked in a date right away and that got the ball rolling. Lily & the team at Barker made the process so easy & a lot of vendors were included too! We decided to use there DJ (Toast to the Entertainment) & DJ DOM killed it!! After almost a year of planning, phone calls, in person meetings the day came and it was everything we ever imagined. We had our ceremony at Gate of Heaven church & then the trolley brought us back to the Barker for reception. We were greeted by our wedding coordinator Lily & our food captain Chelsi ! they had our signature drinks ready for us and the night was started. Now to the food!!! everyone raved how good the appetizers were and the dinner. Chelsi had 2 plates of food and salad ready for us so we didn't have to wait in line and that made it easier to eat & greet guests after. Both Lily, Chelsi, DJ DOM & everyone at the Barker exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding look no further and book here. Beautiful venue for wedding

A well maintained and gorgeous historic property that has beautiful gardens and a spacious ballroom. Staff anticipated all needs of the party and couldn't have been a better help! Thank you!

I had the most amazing wedding at the Barker House. The staff was very responsive the year leading up to the wedding, guiding us in our decisions and were so flexible with us. They were transparent with their prices and truly made the entire planning process so stress free. The day itself was amazing- the staff and vendors made sure we were fed and drank and all we had to do was enjoy the party.

Had our June wedding here - highly recommend. Super helpful team, absolutely beautiful venue, and very smooth wedding day.

I had my wedding here 2023 - everything went pretty well easy people to work with and great coordinating-! Area I think mainly could use improvement is the food - the steak was very dry and the portions were pretty small I was told by many guests. Other than that I have no real complaints.

We had the most amazing experience with the Barker House for our wedding! From the moment we first toured the venue to the final send-off, they exceeded our expectations in every way. The team truly brought our vision to life—everything from the decor to the ambiance was exactly what we had imagined and more.

The food and drinks were fantastic! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the delicious dishes and the well-crafted cocktails. It made the whole experience feel even more special.

What stood out the most was how easy the planning process was. The team was incredibly organized, attentive, and always willing to help. Megan, our day of coordinator, made sure the day went off with out a hitch! They made the entire process stress-free and fun, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment leading up to the big day.

We’re so grateful for the Barker House and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue that’s not only beautiful but also offers exceptional service and unforgettable memories!

I just got married here in November 2024. Overall, we very much enjoyed our wedding day, and it was beautiful. My constructive criticism is I do feel like there needs to be increased staffing, better quality control on the food (one table wanted prime rib from the buffet, and they ran out), and more water served to guests.

Guilty Bakery, the DJ, and the florals from Seaside Floral were terrific! I upgraded my florals, and to say I was happy was an understatement. She did a beautiful job! Lily was our day of coordinator and she did a great job as well!

I had my wedding here last Sunday and can not expressed just how happy my partner & I were with the entire planning and event process!
Wedgewood takes so much added stress away from the planning process, everything was super easy. We wanted a simple wedding that our guests would enjoy and the Barker House provided! We did an indoor wedding in January and my guests LOVED how cozy the venue was with all the fireplaces roaring. The staff had informed me of a little heat problem one of the rooms was having prior to my wedding, but promised it would be resolved by the time my special day arrived and they followed through! I really appreciated the complete honestly and transparency with that.

Shoutout to Davis-Lynn for being the BEST wedding coordinator I have ever met (and I've been in several weddings). By the end of the night she felt like a close friend! So thoughtful and attentive.

Chelsi my banquet coordinator was amazing as well! She calmed my nerves before walking down the aisle, which was so sweet.

Dom ,our DJ, was amazing! After a few scheduling issues with Alex, I was a little nervous with how the DJ team would go. Dom went above & beyond with reading the room so well. Our dance floor stayed full the entire night!

I truly cannot thank Barker House by Wedgewood Weddings enough for our amazing wedding! We signed for Barker House when it was still under construction in May of 2023 and from then until our wedding 2 weeks ago, all of the staff at Barker were extremely helpful, responsive and supportive. Every staff member was passionate and just as excited about our wedding as we were. Throughout our time working with them, Barker was continuously adding something new to the property to make it even better. I also have to give a special shout out to our day of coordinator Davis-Lynn - she was an absolute pleasure to work with! She calmed the nerves of everyone in the wedding party and made my wedding vision come to life. All of our guests raved about how charming the venue was and how good the food was!
