New owners know how to serve great hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine, and cocktails in the original colonial section and then a great buffet for all the wedding guests and newly weds!Highly recommended!!!!

While the staff was very kind and informative during our venue tour, we felt completely misled when we walked into the ceremony site. The website makes the venue appear to be waterfront, with photos by a lighthouse. In reality, the ceremony site is fenced in their parking lot and didn't have any water views.

We held a Celebration of Life luncheon for my sister-in-law at the Barker House, and it was wonderful, classy and flawless. I live in Georgia, so never even saw the venue or met Andrew or Camryn in person until I showed up two hours before the event. It was perfect and they were so very compassionate. Highly recommend this venue and event planning team!

From start to finish our wedding was amazing and the process was easy! Camryn was our wedding coordinator and I could write a book on how amazing she was! We booked our wedding 2-3 months prior to our date. They were nothing short of amazing! From planning to the big day everything was perfect! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get married! The facility is beautiful and food was amazing! We enjoyed every part of our Wedding experience! Our guest had nothing but great things to say as well.! Thank you for everything!

As a guest I can only say this appears to be an ideal wedding venue. We arrived early, the staff greeted us and directed us to a comfortable area to wai. The event was very well planned and executed. The meal was outstanding!

I booked the Barker Tavern in October 2022 shortly after I got engaged and was so excited as it was near the beach, that I spent my Summers with family. A few months later we got notified that the Barker Tavern had been bought out and it has now become the "Barker House" by Wedgewood Weddings. My fiancé and I were nervous at first, but not for long as Andrew was there to make it all work out. Andrew, the general manager, made the entire transition seamless. He assured all construction/renovations would be better than before (and THAT THEY WERE!) and that he was not willing to change a thing for what we had originally envisioned with Barker Tavern, in fact-- went above and beyond to make it better then we even imagined. Andrew really listened, and delivered. You can tell Andrew has been working in this industry for years because he really knows his stuff! When Camryn, our coordinator came into the picture, we knew we were in good hands. Camryn was so communicative leading up to the day of and made us feel so wonderful. When it came down to our wedding day, Camryn really ran a tight ship in terms of the timeline so that she had all the vendors working together but was so calm and collected the whole time. The ENTIRE day was smooth, and stress free. My husband and I don't drink so Camryn made sure that we had our mocktail's of choice all night, and also put in the bridal & groom suite which was such a beautiful detail that we were SO appreciative of! Camryn made set up also so easy - I Brought all my boxes in and she set everything up just how I wanted -- and then Paula and Kylie also did such a spectacular job setting up the furniture and cocktail hour that everyone was raving about it all night! Paula really was the icing on the cake. We have worked in the industry for 15+ years and have never met such a thorough, and kind banquet captain. We absolutely loved Paula and how she managed all of her servers and staff - Kylie, Jessica, Patricia, John, Tim, and Dennis -- you guys are rockstars and some of the speediest servers I've ever seen in the industry! Big shout out to the kitchen stars, Chef Marc - people could NOT stop talking about the Mac N cheese balls, bacon wrapped scallops & the entrees were to DIE for! Everyone wanted containers to take leftovers home -- Chef Marc really knows how to deliver for a wedding and with great quality! We really just wish we could relive our wedding weekend again and again and thats all because of Camryn, Andrew & the team at Wedgewood Weddings. The venue, the vibes, the class, the kindness -- all of the it was there. We believe everything happened for a reason and we were supposed to have our wedding planned by Wedgewood. If you're looking for the best experience possible, it's the Barker House by Wedgewood Weddings - WITHOUT A DOUBT!

My fiancé and I just booked our wedding at Barker House for June 2024 and we are thrilled! The location is gorgeous and the renovations are very exciting! On top of that, Camryn and Andrew made us feel so welcomed and cared for. We are so excited to plan our big day with them!

This place was a favorite of mine for quite a while. But the last few times I went there I wasn't impressed with the food and the high prices.

The host was rude.short staff. Patrons have to cut through the dining to get to the pub. Food was not great. Clam chowder very fishy and not creamy. Caesar salad dressing aweful almost spoiled. Crab cake taste not tasty. The wait time from when we ordered food was 1 hour and 10 minutes and was cold. $38 for a small short rib and kids sized baked potatoes and veggie not worth the price. Only good comment the server Carrie was so nice, but was so busy and other staff just standing around. Hostess bad mouth patrons and kept playing with her hair. Would not go back. Bar very small. Stay away.

I'll never be able to fully articulate how amazing and The Barker Tavern is!! Becky and her team were warm, fun, and so organized. Our wedding was postponed twice due to Covid, but Becky and her team remained a calm and constant presence. We loved the experience so much we ended up hosting the wedding shower there too! The Barker delivered on both a smaller more intimate shower and a larger full blown celebration. Our wedding was beyond what we could have ever imagined, and so worth the wait. Largely because of The Barker Tavern. Highly, highly recommend!! <3

We have been going to the Baker Tavern for decades and have typically had a good meal and service. Last evening we were celebrating a special occasion and we were so disappointed, the lobster in my seafood piccata was like leather, I could barely cut it. I sent the lobster back for the chef to try so he could witness this for corrective action. A $12.00 credit was issued which I thought was weak. My wife's pub swordfish was like mush, another disappointment. Our waitress was accommodating and sympathetic. Historically I entertain at the Barker with my clients but I am now having second thoughts. I hope this review wakes up ownership as this experience was so sub par for an iconic restaurant.

My husband brought me here for my birthday. Had a delicious swordfish dinner. I highly recommend any fish entree!

My husband and I went there Sunday night for our birthdays. We both had the lobster stew, it was delicious. One note, to call it "stew" it need more lobster meat. My husband had the seafood casserole, he really enjoyed it and had a nice lunch the next day. I had the rack of lamb, it was cooked perfectly, the mint glaze was delicious. No leftovers for me, to good to not finish.
