I went here a lot as a teen in the 60's and was eager to see if it was the same. It is! Great subs, busy place with a long line, but good service anyway.
Service is good, but the food is pretty much overpriced garbage, the owner has a weird grudge against lettuce on sandwiches, and they Refuse to accept that it’s 2025 and they will only take cash.
This didn not appear to be a sit down restaurant. The folks were nice and things moved fast. They seemed very efficient and were good at what they did. Food was great.
Simple and bomb little place with no frills. Cash only, in a good way.
Best Italian sandwiches. Super local. Wicked local.
