Good place to grab dinner - staff is friendly and service is quick. We actually ate here twice during our week-long visit to the area. Especially enjoyed the French onion soup and scallops wrapped in bacon. Portions are large, too.

This was our first visit and it was extremely disappointing. When we arrived we were told there would be a 10 to 15 minute wait. It ended up being almost 40 minutes. My wife ordered the Irish Mixed Grill. The meat and chicken came out so heavily seasoned they were inedible. The server told us it was teriyaki marinade, but we both really like teriyaki and this was not just teriyaki. It just was not what anyone would expect for a dish call Irish grill. I ordered the fried sole plate. I knew immediately that what I had received was not sole. When the server finally returned to check in after I was about half done she commented that she had given me fried haddock instead of the sole I had asked for.
We are always seeking out new places to dine out and frequent, it was disappointing to have this type of experience on our first visit because the Satuit Tavern looked so promising.

My adult Grandson accompanies me at least once a month. We have been going to the Scituate Tavern for three years now.
Tonight I had the baked Seafood dish. This dish came with potato and a vegetable the seafood was absolutely delicious, served with two large red potatoes cooked to perfection. I had to bring some home as the dish was huge at such a fantastic price.
My grandson got the barbecue chicken, Plentiful and very tasty. This also came with the same potato.
The service was amazing. I love that all The staff are So knowledgeable. Our server was exceptional.
I highly recommend the Scituate Tavern

The food was delicious. The inside of the restaurant was very hot. They have a hard time cooling down the inside due to the kitchen being 'open air'. The hot lobster roll was amazing. 10/10

We love to visit Satuit Tavern when visiting Scituate MA. The staff is always friendly and accomodating. The restaurant is casual and packed most evenings but especially on the weekends during the warm weather. One of my favorite meals is the Hot Lobster Roll. It is a plentiful meal, Loaded with Maine Lobster prepared in warm butter. It is served in a nicely grilled roll. I’ve heard the Lobster Pie is also excellent so will try that the next time we visit Satuit Tavern.
Great food and friendly service.
Always great
We stumbled across this bar and restaurant after traveling through downtown Scituate and lucked out since we arrived before 5. The restaurant opens at 4 and clearly is a local favorite as the place was already packed. We were able to get the last two seats at the small bar. The bartender was nice and the variety on the menu ranged from seafood to burger and pizza. The price point was definitely one of the reasons we stopped in to begin with. A reasonably priced menu for appetizers and main courses, we got the stuffed sole and grilled shrimp for our entrees. We started off with stuffed mushrooms and needed to try the peanut butter pie for dessert. All three courses were delicious, their version of mashed potatoes with onions was really good. It was a new spin that was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area it is worth the stop.
We have driven by this quaint little building but it was too early to enjoy their lunches. Satuit opens at 4PM. Cozy interior with very friendly staff. Within an hour the tables were full with patrons. Lots to chose from their menu and specials.
