We had heard good things [OK, neighbors Raved about it] and called several days earlier for reservations for a recent Saturday night. We were told, sorry, no reservations, but you'll only have a few min wait.
Well, everyone on the south shore had the same plan as we did... after ~45 mins we were seated.
The loud crowd at the bar extended over the partial wall into the dining room. The waitress was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful.
The 4 of us chose very different items, yet the only comment was about the fish chowder, which recd 2 Great votes. Other fish choices [2] were "kinda bland" - lots of scallops wrapped in bacon for an app and they were good, but a bit over cooked and the veggies with the fish were barely noticeable under the tomatoes.
None of us ordered fried food, and lots of serving platters were filled with that. I think if we ordered fried food, we would have been in the Satuit Tavern's sweet spot?
The noise at other tables had to compete with the bar, which resulted in an even louder din. There appeared to be sound-absorbing panels on the ceiling. I can't imagine how loud the place was before those panels were added. Clearly, the owners know the noise problem and are trying to fix it.
Sorry, no pictures.
Returned for another chance:
Two of us on a quiet Monday night.
Once again, nothing special. Pretty okay Calamari, but nothing special. Stuffies were full of stuffing and didn't see/taste any quahog. Soup/Chowder special, spinach artichoke lacked depth; French Onion soup was really bland and disappointing.

Added 2 pics.
I don't know about a third chance...

We ate two yummy buttered warm lobster rolls at this restaurant today. There was lots of tender meat in our rolls. Well worth the price! Our service Mary Beth was so attentive! We will definitely be regulars at this great place.

Have been dining here for over ten years but last Monday night was a real disappointment. Fried clams were way overdone, lobster pie’s meat was stringy, vegetable medley’s topping was soggy and haddock caprese had way too much mozzarella cheese on it and when taken off it was too bland. Extremely disappointed. Is there a new chef thete

Don't go during GAME DAY. The bar sounds will spill over to the dinning area to a point where it will be too loud to even converse with members of your table (let alone the waitress). However, that's the only downside to my visit. The waitress we had was wonderful, prompt, and attentive to our needs (despite all the racket). And the food was absolutely delicious. I had some fried calamari (and aside from it being served with only tartar/marinara) it was wonderful and tasted great. I think if it had been served with an aioli sauce, it would have really been perfect.

On our SSBP Travels we ended up at Satuit Tavern in Scituate , Massachusetts. We were Greeted by a Friendly and Welcoming Hostess with such a Great Attitude made you feel right at home. Our Waitress Debra was Fantastic she took our drink and appetizer order of Ice Cold Beers ❄️? and Fried Calamari ?. As the evening continued we met some of the other members of the Wait Staff Carolyn and Amanda which made the experiences so much more Memorable with such Outgoing and Positive Attitudes made you feel that Home Sweet Home feeling . Ordered a Hamburger and Onion Pizza ? Laced and Well Done ?we could not Resist the Special of Hot Buttered Lobster Rolls ?with Onions Rings and Fries ? everything was Delicious. The Service was Excellent ?We Recommend Satuit Tavern⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wow! When you're not a local, go where the locals go. The hotel bartender recommended this place, and it was so very good. I'm not even a big fan of clan chowder, but the one here is delicious. I also ate the broiled scallops, and they were cooked to perfection. Check 'em out! You'll be happy you did. And full.
