I when in to order take out with my service dog and was turned away. The only service dogs they allowed are for the blind . Totally ignorant the 2 cackling hens at the door . Got the attention or the heavy set male in the bar area . I was told that my service dog and I couldn’t come in because they only allowed the blind to come in. I have traumatic brain injury and seizure. He told me that that made my dog a companion dog. Sooo wrong . I have reported them and asked for the restaurant to be closed and fined till they are correctly educated. I left extremely upset. How dare anyone treat a disabled person this way . My service dog is extremely well trained and extremely well behaved. I ended up having a medical issue due to the heartless way I was treated.

Surprising good! Everything was made with care and deliciousness. Their fryer is GREAT, from the brussel sprouts to good 'ol french fries potatoes - perfect. Good burgers, nice salads.Simple bar food for the most part, with an excellent execution.Service was great, we came in with a large party with only one person on floor staff (hostess, bartender, waitress, busser), she was communicative, efficient, and pleasant.I'd happily go back. Strong recommendation if you're in the area.

Amazing Find near Great Barrington.During our trip back from Albany, NY to NYC, we decided to take a detour and stumbled upon The Frog restaurant in Great Barrington. What a gem! We tried the chef's special, Beef Short Ribs served on parmesan truffle potato croquettes and garlic spinach, and it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was top-notch. We also ordered the burger, which was cooked perfectly and incredibly tasty. The restaurant has a fantastic ambience, with a good selection of beers to complement the meal. The service was absolutely great, attentive and friendly. The only slight disappointment was the chocolate cake, which was a bit dry. However, everything else was top class. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely return to try different items on the menu. Highly recommend The Frog for a memorable dining experience!

Not made to feel very welcome upon entry. Wait staff was abrupt and curt. Not very friendly. Seemed to be in a rush. Towards the end of the meal a little more friendly. The food was good. Dessert was excellent.

Old school dining vibes. It almost feels like the restaurant could have been a scene in Goodfellas, and I mean that in the best way. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon and the server was very attentive. The food was fantastic (lunch). Next time we are in town, we’ll definitely be back.

Stopped in to The Frog for a quick 2 pilsner respite, my second time in in as many weeks. What I enjoy about the Frog in comparison to other spots in the area is the lack of pretension. Pretty certain on my visit today, I am the only one of about 10 4pm guests the staff doesn't know the first name of. Regulars on a random Wednesday is always a great sign. The atmosphere is what you want in a local watering hole. Booths with big banquets, sound deadening carpet, fire typically roaring in the fireplace, solid menu with a lot of fun options, and more varied than your average spot. Food can occasionally be hit or miss, but the Lobster bisque, escargot, and lamb burger on a recent dinner visit all hit the mark. The great distinction here is this is a spot staffed and frequented by locals, and if grand media outlets don't put them on their top ten, that's probably fine for all involved.Parking: Large lot next to dollar general, plenty of parking to accommodateKid-friendliness: Large spacious dining room and divider means young ones can sit comfortably and far from the bar area, though everyone here is so sweet, it would hardly matter where you were sat.
