Don’t miss this enchanting spot! An historic gem, the Stagecoach Tavern hits every mark. The service was impeccable, the burgers cooked to perfection, and the ambience pure bliss. Shout out to Rafa, host and Somm, who recommended the perfect bottle of bubbles to pair with our food. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with all of our wine selections that evening. Some of the best hospitality we’ve ever experienced.

Had a great 20th anniversary dinner tonight with good friends! We had a couple of out of the ordinary special requests, and the staff was exceptionally accommodating in a way that made our dinner extra special. Jean Luca and Romina made sure we had everything we needed, and we were able to linger over an excellent meal in one of their closed off dining rooms. The Wagon Wheel cocktail and Sea Bass were amazing. The historic setting of The Stagecoach Tavern is the perfect spot for a cozy meal with friends. Will return again for sure.

I enjoyed Stagecoach Tavern for many years until I went recently and the food and menu were extremely disappointing. Yet by far the worst revelation was learning about the owners blatant antisemitism.

Such a lovely, historically restaurant. It was a peaceful relaxing atmosphere and the food was one of the best meals I've ever had. The server was wonderful. Highly recommend.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Stagecoach Inn 40 years ago and came back to the Race Brook Lodge (as it is now called) for a nostalgic anniversary getaway. Our package included an exquisite dinner at the Stagecoach Tavern, one of the gourmet gems of the Berkshires (and one of the highlights of our honeymoon). The Tavern is authentically colonial, with wooden floors, beams, and a quaint assortment of rooms and spaces. It was quiet when we were there on a Sunday evening, so we enjoyed an almost private dining experience. The food was truly exceptional. We started with the roasted Brussel sprouts in an amazing roasted red pepper agrodolce sauce. Thanks to Glenn, our waiter for recommending. We both had lasagna as our main course. This is not your traditional lasagna but a ramp/pistachio pesto lasagna with mushrooms, spinach, and ricotta. It was lasagna to die for. Bravo to Andrew Jalbert the chef. And the final touch was a perfect strawberry rhubarb shortcake, not too sweet, and the shortcake was light and crisp. Our respective glasses of Cabernet and Pinot Grigio were perfect in accompaniment. Glenn, our waiter was attentive and low-keyed, and German, the bartender was solicitous and friendly, and brightened our celebration with a fresh flower and champagne.

A hidden gem which dates from the 18th Century, and yet has an inspired menu and cocktail program. So rare in the Berkshires to have a venue steeped with a sense of history and that serves food and drink which is equally enticing.

We always enjoy coming to this restaurant, for its historical atmosphere and delicious food. We were there over the weekend, and asked for a special table for our family who was there from out of town, and they had it waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you!

Food is great! Atmosphere is unique and inviting. A lot of attention is paid to detail and it shows. Cocktails are a little over priced.

Made a reservation 2 months in advance. They decided to close for a break without calling to notify us. It's a good thing we verified that they were closed as our reservation approached, we had a private room booked for an important occasion.

I am extremely disappointed to be writing this review as I have been to Stagecoach multiple times and had pleasant experiences in the past. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for my experience on NYE. I had booked one of the private rooms for my party over a month prior in November. Upon arriving the manager asked us to wait in the entry way of the restaurant while they got the table ready. After 20 minutes he informed us that the room was still occupied by an earlier party and that we would not be able to dine there. The manager did not offer an apology and hurriedly sat us in the porch room. This was disappointing as we were all looking forward to the private dining experience. The porch room was not insulated but had large heat lamps. Half of our party was either sweating under the heat lamps or freezing away from a heat lamp. Our food and drink order were taken and this is where everything really went downhill. Our drinks took over an hour to arrive as did the tuna tartare appetizer from the pre-fix menu. The second course also took about an hour to arrive. I had the lobster bisque and it arrived Ice cold. The final 2 courses were slightly better at 40 and 30 minutes,. For context our reservation was at 7:30, our dinner arrived after 10 pm, and we received the check at 11:23 pm. We had other plans on the night and this was incredibly inconvenient. Lastly the service was very poor, we were left alone for an hour at a time. No one checked in on our table, no one offered up an explanation for the long wait times, members of my party even had to go to the servers station to refill their water glasses. I attempted to find the manager to voice my concerns about the food timing and our later plans, yet he was no where to be found. Considering we were bumped from the private room and the wait time for food was unreasonably long, a simple check in would have gone a long way. There was no degree of customer service or hospitality whatsoever, instead it felt as if we were being ignored. As a local and someone who has been a repeat costumer I cannot justify returning or recommending stagecoach unless changes are made. We left disappointed and I walked out embarrassed having been the one who recommended and organized the dinner. I spent the car ride to our next destination apologizing to my friends for organizing our NYE dinner at Stagecoach. Our bill was around $150 per person which does not sit right considering our experience.

Fantastic to be greeted by a fire warm and bright on a cold winter’s night. Seasonal menu. I had the fresh tagliatelle with a mushroom sauce and an excellent Pinot Grigio.

A 20% service fee is included in the price which may account for the incredibly inept, inattentive service. 15 minutes before we were asked about our drinks, another 15 to get them. An hour for food to arrive. Despite reservations we were seated on the benches in the bar. The menu is limited and not interesting. The bill was incorrect. Why would I ever return.

Service was unusually slow and bad. Over 30 minutes to get drinks and over 60 for food. Even though there were only two other tables seated in the whole place. Waiter dropped the wine bottle on the floor in front of us and then served it anyway without offering a taste pour first. We were over billed on one item and they charge 8 dollars for basic dinner rolls.
