My first time at a true Sugar Shack. It’s only open in March, which is the syrup season in Western Mass. The made-on-site syrup was fantastic and made everything better. We had to wait a half hour, though didn’t mind as we spent it in the evaporation room, watching and learning about how they turned pure maple sap into delicious maple syrup.

I wish I could leave a review without a rating. It's not fair to this establishment that I review it because we never got a chance to eat there.

This review is to raise awareness to those who may decide to visit. We drove 1.5 hours to have breakfast. When we got there, we were told it would be 1.5 hour wait.
It's way out of my values to have to wait that long and it's certainly no one's fault.
The hostess could not have been nicer. The lady in the room around the side where the sap was being boiled also could not have been more welcoming.
I was really high on the novelty of the experience, but it all disappeared with the wait time. If you're going, be forewarned.
Great Sugar Shack & breakfast experience. Well organized with a lovely & unique selection of food, which I really appreciated. Not just your standard fare of pancakes! And Every single person I met who was working there was Extremely pleasant, helpful & cheery. We were told it would be a 1 hr wait & it was cold & rainy outside, but we warmed up in the Evaporator room, which thankfully had coffee & donuts to keep up going until our name was called. I've been to all but 1 of these Sugar Shacks in western MA & this one: Highly recommend!

Yearly visit so near to my heart. Used to get the Finnish pancakes which are outstanding - now the gluten free pancakes are the tops. Add whipped cream!

Unfortunately they are only open for a short amount of time during the year. But everything was great.

We just went for breakfast this morning (3/1/2025) after an absence of way too many years. We arrived around 9:30 and the place was hopping. They initially said it would be a 45 minute wait, but it actually turned out to be less than 10 minutes. We were greeted by a very lovely, smiling and upbeat young lady who took us to our table for 2, which was qickly followed by our equally lovely waitress. The food was excellent and the syrup of course was perfect. We enjoyed seeing the young families and couples all sharing large family style tables and enjoying the moment. Quick tip: get there around 10AM after the rush and you should get a table pretty quickly! The ride up to the farm is fun and provides an excuse to drive into the hills that you may not venture into otherwise. If you haven't done it before, please go and treat yourself and your family, if like me you haven't been back in quite sometime, GO because I regret missing past years of treating ourselves to this experience.
If you found this review helpful, please let me know by tapping the thumbs up. Thanks!

This is a gem in the northern hills of MA. At the end of a lovely, climbing and winding road. Tables are mostly family style seating, food excellent, friendly and efficient waitstaff, fresh maple syrup divine and quintessential New England experience at sugaring time. Experience the making of the syrup in the attached sugar processing house… Any meal choice is worth the ride and potential wait time…..
All their Maple Syrup and other Maple Products are wonderful. I will write another review after I brunch there.
Loved the Finnish Pancakes! Try the pickles, too. And they have maple cotton candy for sale! Yum.

Places is closed and they continue to have huge signs out stating they have maple syrup. Take your signs down they are nothing but litter now.

Great staff but way too busy! Over 2 hour wait. We chose to leave but will try another day. Show up BEFORE doors open to try and beat the crowd.
