What a culinary gem - set in one of the most bucolic towns at the foothill of the Berkshires, at that. We have been going to Gypsy Apple periodically over the past few years. It is consistently EXCEPTIONAL. One of our absolute favorites. And we have since brought friends from cities coast to coast. It is now one of THEIR favorite restaurants. Hard to give more than 3. And we would like to. As it is nice local owned and seems to put in effort. But GA just didn't live up to the hype that some friends shared of being a local favorite.
First, have to say that if you are going to offer outdoor seating - offer somewhat comfortable level seat. Wobbly uneven metal chairs leave something to be desired. Sorry. And a little love to straighten up the bamboo wall would go a long way. Also this is what we get for seating...

We dined on an oppressive summer's day. This small
restaurant's air conditioner was underpowered, given the ambient
temperature.
Service was helpful and pleasant.
The wine list is relatively reasonably priced, with interesting choices.
We had a very good non-Champagne bubbly from the Loire Valley.
Bread and flavored butter very good.
Shared a wedge salad, which was excellent, 'tho I didn't think...
