3.5/5 I’d give this place, ordered from DoorDash here for the first time. Got the garlic noodles and the head-on shrimp boil. They did give a good portion of shrimp and they were very big, however, I wish there was more seasoning. I know everywhere has their own spin on seafood boil, I just felt like it was more citrus and bland. The noodles were cold, but they were good. I would give this place another try.

They don’t change gloves and torch raw products mix fish and chicken in same egg wash, they wash of their gloves in water, go to the bathroom take off your sweaty gloves and out them back on, its honestly really gross

C’est bon mon ami.

Mais yeah! The food was quite nice, yeah! We got the Boudin balls fried crawfish and that chicken and sausage gumbo, us.

Ain’t exactly what I’m used to in Acadiana mais by far the best place you gonna find in this area.

The owners backstory was quite interesting and I’m glad he opened this place for us to have a little spot we can actually be our Cajun selves again.

Also the coke was fresh!

The fried crawfish was done perfectly.

Just I suggest bringin your own bowl or ask to double up cause the gumbo almost melted out.

5 out of 5 from me!

So, please no one be offended lol. Not sure if my review for Nola Cajun can be overall or just this one for Shrewsbury. But this place is my favorite. If the owners from Boylston location owns and operate the Shrewsbury one then kudos. I've never had a dull moment or experience with this place, never.

I had a really disappointing experience here. The fried pickles were off. The batter was way too thick while the pickle itself was too thin, making them tough and unpleasant to chew. It felt either overfried or just poorly executed overall.

I also ordered the shrimp and catfish po boys, and both were completely lacking seasoning. It honestly tasted like plain seafood with unseasoned batter, which is pretty surprising for a Cajun restaurant where flavor is the whole point.

For nearly $50, the food was so bland and unenjoyable that I ended up throwing everything away. Really disappointing experience.

My first time wanted to ask for a refund.
Not coming back.

Good authentic Cajun food is hard to find in New England and this one knocks it out of the park! Whenever I’m in the area it’s a go to. It’s extremely reasonably priced as well.

Not Authentic! I expected southern friendly but I was not greeted and a very rude cook who is not even from New Orleans or the South finally said what do you want. This seems to be a scam place that doesn’t have authentic chefs making the food. I’m not sure the owners are actually even from New Orleans or this is just a New Orleans themed restaurant. Try to find the real thing elsewhere.

I was hesitant to try Cajun food outside of my home state, but during this brutal weather I was craving a warm cup of gumbo and decided to give NOLA Cajun Kitchen a try. Wow—this one truly hit home.

The gumbo was rich, spicy, and incredibly authentic… the kind that makes your nose run and your soul happy. I loved it so much that I ordered a whole quart to take home for tonight.

If you’re missing real Cajun flavor, this place delivers. Sigh… this gumbo took me right back home.

We ordered several different things off the menu, and every single one of them was cooked to perfection!! The space is quiet and the staff was very friendly. Really recommend the buffalo chicken loaded fries!

Everything came out both crispy and tender; absolutely perfect and takes me right back to my days in the South. The gumbo and catfish were standouts, but everything was phenomenal. Can't wait to explore the rest of the menu because this is definitely a place worth coming back to.
