I'm not a big fan of Felafels, but they have the best fries in town! Also their baba ganoush is to die for.

Ohhh, Say it ain't so! Last day today (March 31, 2019) Falafel: simple food that you doctor yourself ( posted advisory, "Crush your balls!") with a fairly wide range of condiments - baba, hummus, various eggplant-derived treats, pickles and pickled things, and - Mmmm, Good -! Garlic cream & tahini to hold it all together in a thicker-than-usual pita pocket. (OK< so there's a bunch of carbs in falafel...) Open later than many food-only spots in Davis Sq. on Friday night, was our go-to place, often, after my son's MTG tourneys at Comicazi (which, thankfully, still seems to be going strong!

I'm sad that Amsterdam Falafelshop will be closing down in Davis Sq in a week. This place is a cool, no fuss place to stop by and get your snacks or meals...however hungry you feel like that day! The salad bar that offers galore of unlimited/all you can stuff in a bowl/pita flavorful and colorful toppings + sauces makes this place a very cool place to eat casually anytime if the day...and even late into the night. I love that the falafel tasted fresh and crunchy on the outside...but yet still soft on the inside...that...together with a selection of sauces and vegetables -pickled or not- make the whole meal super flavorful. My fav vegetables were the fried eggplants and beetss, and my favorite sauces were...garlic mayo and peanut sauce...heck...any of those sauces or even curry ketchup tasted so good with hot, crunchy sweet potato fries, too! My only gripe was slightly limited seatings...esp if you come in during peak lunch or dinner time. If that's the case, it's a little hard to find a spot to eat..esp when you want to spend all your time sampling and trying all the sauces!! P.S. kudos to the staff here. They were so polite and friendly. I hope they continue to have and are able to keep their jobs with the shop that will replace this place.

I love this place. I've been going here for the past four years on and off and every time I returned was a memorable experience. I'm personally a fan of the falafel sandwiches and the toppings available allow customers to get creative each time they go if they wish, or find their favorite combination to pair with the falafel (or chicken) the latter of which I did. Each time I had good conversations with the staff who gave the shop a great personality; they along with the fantastic music choices and interior design added up for a chill spot for my friends and I to hang out and eat. And the French fries: amazing and always served hot. It honestly breaks my heart that this place is closing. I highly recommend stopping by before they officially close their doors.

I saw on my news feed that this restaurant is going to close. Never having been here the five years I've lived in the area, I decided to take my mom and try it out. The falafel sandwich I had with white pita bread was awesome. I put a little bit of garlic cream sauce (yummm) and tahini. The falafels were perfectly fried, no oil dripping down the sandwich at all. The sweet potato fries were bomb, especially with the curried ketchup. I'm sad to see this place go. I think most of the toppings are vegan, which I appreciate.

These falafels are so good. Nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Great flavor and amazing topping bar. Love their mayo sauces too. You can get a sandwich or a bowl. Seating is limited on busy nights, but you'll want to check them out.

Great place. Really enjoyed the food. Plenty of toppings. They are fresh.

Delicious, with plenty of vegan options as well as meat, no wait for service and plenty of tables available even on a Saturday night right in the center of Davis Square, and very affordable. I had a falafel bowl and soup; both were excellent.

I went with a friend who had lived in DC, and been to the original. Was definitely in good hands with his recommendations. You have to go all out, with falafel sandwiches and a cone of fries, in the special carrying case- lol. The toppings, which you help yourself to, are amazing- love that they have pickled radish, raita, European pickles, deliciously cooked eggplant, and a varied chili pepper selection, in addition to the standard fare. The dipping sauces for the fries are also awesome! The curry ketchup is magical, and the peanut sauce and garlic sauce are also great. So good, with those perfectly crunchy fries.

+ Warm, crispy-fresh yet inside-tasty falafel. Also gluten-free! + Baba ganoush is great. + Plethora of topping and dressing options and ratios are great. Things that could be improved: - Occasionally a few of the toppings aren't as fresh (Particularly noticeable with tomato items. Also in contrast to the other outstanding stuff)! - Hummus decent but not as good as the eggplant.

Delicious falafel sandwiches or bowls! Recently tried the chicken and it was also really good! Small vs regular comes with 3 vs 5 falafels. I've gotten the small and I've always left full and so satisfied! There is a self serve toppings station with a plethora of options. The veggies are always fresh. My favorite toppings are the cucumbers, eggplant and beets. I always go way over the top and load it up and then slowly pick eat it like a salad. There are also lots of sauces to choose from but my favs are the garlic cream and tahini. This place is bomb and I am always looking forward to the next time I return. Tip-crush your falafel balls so you can fit more toppings!!

Strong falafel, tasty fries, spicy ketchup, and a nice selection of sodas. You want a falafel sandwich? They will provide.

Very quick (self) service. Great and broad choice of toppings. Would definitely go again when in the neighborhood
