Davis Square Hand Crafted Donuts & Bagels

Really solid bagels and donuts. The bagels are on the softer/breadier side, so if that’s your preference, this is your place. Bagels are large. The thing that stood out to me was the toppings, they don’t mess around. The onion bagel is just pure onion, and I believe the onion topping is homemade. Donut was fluffy frosting was tasty. Eggs were very fresh on our breakfast sandwich. It took a while to get the sandwich because they were so busy, and we think our order was accidentally sidelined. Be ready to wait a bit on a Saturday or Sunday.

I’ve been going here for years. The food and coffee are quite good, and the staff are friendly. Davis Square Donuts is/are far superior to the more well-known Union Square Donuts in all areas, in my honest opinion.

I am a self-proclaimed lover of bread and bread adjacent treats. Donuts are below mid here (kinda hard and stale.) last time I was here the fruity pebbles donut was not good at all, bad jelly donut, and bagels are not worth it. I havent gone in a while, and although I live in the square, I avoid. Service is fine!

I really like this place and want to keep coming back. The donuts are genuinely very good — fresh, a good size, flavorful — same goes for the coffee, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches. However, I have bitten into and found eggshell pieces in my breakfast sandwiches on at least four separate occasions. Once is understandable, twice is frustrating but forgivable, but after the third and fourth time it starts to feel like a quality control issue. It’s disappointing because I enjoy the food, but this has happened enough that I will probably stop ordering unless it’s addressed.

This place is always out of donuts which is kind of ridiculous considering it's a donut shop. Clearly there's a demand when you're constantly sold out within a couple hours of opening. Supply the demand.

Very disappointing experience.

I came to pick up my order, but one female staff member was extremely rude. She repeatedly questioned me in a very aggressive tone and kept telling me the food was “not mine,” even though my name was clearly printed on the receipt.

Instead of checking calmly, she rolled her eyes at me multiple times and made the situation very uncomfortable. I felt disrespected and singled out for no reason.

Management should be more careful about the staff they hire and provide proper training in basic customer respect.

Best bagel sandwich around. Also my Somerville go-to for a dozen bagels. I go at 7am on weekdays and it's been the same counter crew for years. They're always really nice despite the early hours!

Wasted my time to come here, 7:05a nobody in the store. Doesn’t look like it’s opening soon either.

My fullest apologies to Davis Square Donuts.. I was mistaken, it was not Davis Square Donuts, ... the place I went to was Union Square donuts @ Assembly in Somerville.

Ordered two bagels w cream cheese and an iced chai through door dash. Asked for the bagels toasted, came raw untested. Worst chai I’ve ever had. Took one sip and immediately threw out. Gross all around.

Taste kinda stale by 11 am

Atmosphere isn’t great but the bagels and sandwiches are amazing!!! Best bagels in the city hands-down
