I did not visit the restaurant but I ordered through uber eats. The chicken quesadilla had a small bone and the rice was extremely dry. I drank about a gallon of water to actually swallow all the staleness in my mouth. Even sadder, the tres leches was a one bite disaster. Surprise, it was dry and the cream was more like a marshmallow paste which ruined any of its redeeming attributes. It was a Sunday night that we ordered and it felt like we were getting all the leftovers from the week prior. I can’t say that I’m interested in ever visiting.

Good testing burrito. All the ingredients are very nicely balanced. You can taste all of them and nothing is overwhelming. Good steak meat. The best part is the crunchiness of tortillas.

The Don does not mess around with their burritos. Best I’ve had in Boston by far. Great portion sized and the salsa they give with the burritos is also very good
Found a cockroach in the tray where they gave me my drinks. Found Blood in the paper bag where my food was given to me. As soon as I realized these things let the guy know and he did apologize. I walked away because I had a long day that evening. I called the next day to talk to the owner or someone in charge and all I got was a RUDE and Unprofessional woman who picked up the phone and hung up on me twice. My Family and I order here all the time but with this kind of service and it being filthy not ever eating here again. Almost $50 worth of food in the trash because my children and I could not eat the food.

The papusas were another highlight; they were delicious and satisfying.The staff was friendly, and my order was ready on time, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Don Julio Restaurant is a solid choice for a quick bite or takeout in Somerville. I highly recommend trying their Al Pastor burrito—it's a must-have!
