I’m not going to lie we were very disappointed with the valentines special tasting menu, the portions were small and the food was not very tasty. The price absolutely did not justify the portions and quality of the food, we joked on our way out that we felt scammed. The ambiance and staff were the only highlight of the night.

Honestly very disappointed with the Valentine’s set menu. We paid $345 for two people with 1 drink each, but the portions were so tiny and nothing really stood out to me. I particularly disliked the semolina dumplings which were just wet clumps of flour. This is our second time here, we enjoyed the first time, had much more food and better food for a lot less. I knew it was going to be expensive going in, I just thought it’d be worth it. It wasn’t and I felt robbed on a day that was supposed to be a celebration.

Delivering vegetables and fresh produce with both simplicity and creative flair is no easy feat, yet this little gem earns an A+ for authenticity and boldness based off seasonal ingredients. The menu is refreshingly free of the trite, ubiquitous fare found at many restaurants.
Service is attentive without being intrusive. The staff are observant, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaged.
Pro tip: Grab a seat at the chef’s counter so you can watch the magic unfold.

One of my favorite restaurants in Boston! Have had so many lovely meals here and is a great place to celebrate occasions small and large.

We were BLOWN away by Field and Vine. Scallops and clams (and everything else, honestly) were out of this world. On top of it, our server, Maggie, was incredible. We already can’t wait to eat here again :)

While tucked away and a very modest presentation up front, Field and Vine had a great atmosphere inside that felt very in line with the overall theme of locally sourced and fresh ingredients.
Service was amongst the best I've ever received anywhere. Everyone was very attentive, personable, and had a lot of great knowledge and insight into the menu and how best to pair the tapas style dishes and make the meal flow from one course to the next.
The food was excellent. We had just shy of half a dozen dishes and were impressed throughout with the flavors and how consistently delicious everything was. Portions were designed to have more than a few dishes, and nothing was overly heavy. We both left the table feeling satisfied without the typical discomfort from heavy foods.
We'll absolutely be coming back and will recommend Field and Vine to anyone.

Went to Field and Vine on a Tuesday night for a special anniversary dinner. It did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and felt worth the price. Service was friendly and professional. The restaurant was surprisingly full but not too loud. The decor was cute, and they had a great playlist going the whole night as well. All in all a great special occasion meal.
Everything we ate was amazing but one of my surprise favorites was a squash dish with Pepitas and a tasty, creamy sauce. The steak with mushrooms was a major highlight as well.

Four of us visited Field&Vine last night, and it exceeded expectations on every level. The atmosphere was homely, warm, and instantly welcoming. Our waiter set the tone from the moment we sat down—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable—and the rest of the team who supported him was equally exceptional.
The food was truly superb, with unexpected textures and flavor combinations that kept us pleasantly surprised throughout the meal. The beef tartare and cheesy bread were the unanimous favorites at our table. The tuna tostada and duck were also excellent, beautifully balanced and thoughtfully prepared. And we can’t not mention the butter—both for the bread and for the sweet potato—worthy of a line of praise all on its own.
All in all, a wonderful dining experience, and we will happily be returning. Highly recommend!

This was our fourth time to this restaurant over the past several years - what was once one of our favorites that I’d strongly recommend friends, coworkers, and visitors to try is now a restaurant I will not be returning to.
Our dinner this evening was unfortunate for a number of reasons. Broadly, the menu I believe has taken a turn for the worse - at least for the items we tried. Additionally, the service was exceptionally slow and poor.
To illustrate, we waited almost an hour for cornbread. To even get that, I need to pull aside another member of the wait staff as our waitress had not checked in with us. I don’t recall her introduction but on our receipt it lists our server as Samantha D.
I will say, the fried fish dish was very tasty, though choosing a fish with a high prevalence of small bones in a very crunchy dish may not be the best eating experience. Excluding that, breaded and fried exterior is one of the best I’ve had on a fish.
Overall, we will not be coming back. I think the current staff should consider a reflection on the changes they’ve made. This was nothing like the prior experiences we had.

Incredible, creative dishes that really highlighted the ingredients. Lovely servers who were helpful and kind. Beautiful, calm atmosphere. Highlights were the pecan cake with miso ice cream and cranberry sauce, the crudo, the pork chop. Veggies were delicious as well!

What a gimmick. Arrived at 6, was told only bar seating even though there was 5 tables open. They were still open but the time we finished dinner.
Waitress asked us to order everything at once since the cooks preferred that - at a tapas restaurant?
Ordered the tuna tostadas. Not bad.
Ordered the cornbread, good.
Ordered the sausage as the waitress said it was a “larger heartier plate” … it was one single sausage for over $30
I would not come back here if you paid for my meal and massaged my feet while I ate it
Oh and they add a 20% tip + 3% kitchen admin fee
Verdict: the food and drinks are just fine … as long as you’re not hungry and don’t mind paying 150x cost for the meal
