You really can’t beat Highland Kitchen. Really great food with a unique menu, doesn’t just serve your average pub fare and call it a day. One of the few places I still go out to eat that is worth the money. Doesn’t hurt they’re one of the few places remaining that has cocktails below $16. Can’t recommend it enough, so you better stop by!
As out of town guests, we were delighted to find such a wonderful restaurant that was welcoming and felt very comfortable. Excellent and attentive service! Food was not only tasty but there was a wide variety of options from a black bean veggie burger to steak tips or even a Cuban Reuben (so good). Of course we had to end our night with desserts and ordered the hot fudge brownie sundae & apple crisp for our group. Highly recommend!!
Nowadays, we tend to get takeout from Highland Kitchen, which is a few blocks from our house. It is always wonderful and fresh. Sometimes we think they would benefit from adding to the menu, but we always order the same things (spicy jambalaya, sweet potato hash, coconut curried mussels) so we clearly haven't thought this through! Food is great, people are lovely, and even though we don't eat there, the joint is always jumpin' when we pick up our order. Go there,...
