Sams Falafel & Shawarma

I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich. The sandwich was drenched in mayonnaise, likely a substitute for the garlic spread because I did not taste garlic as one would expect in such a sauce. If it was the garlic sauce, it is extremely mild, and still over saturated. Had the chicken been flavorful, I would have been more understanding re the over saturation of mayonnaise/sauce(?), but it was bland. I pray the challenges they are facing are resolved with honest hearts.

I ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich and soda to eat-in, and it was delicious! The sandwich was hot, chicken tender and well seasoned, fresh toppings and sauce. Large portions too! The staff was friendly, and ordereas cooked fast. The restaurant is clean and modern, but could use some music and a bit more heat in the table seating area. Very good food, definitely try it.

Unfortunately a bad review because of the misleading menu or plate options. On the menu online it says you can choose rice or fries for your meat plate, but when we ordered fries, we were given rice too and then charged extra for a side of fries. Would like the restaurant to fix this and clarify. The french fries are really good though.

Best and most authentic shawarma plate I've had in a long time. Tahini, hummus, lamb, falafel, it was all great and perfectly seasoned. Love the addition of the pickled turnip too.

Edit: What happened? Twice in a row now it's been way worse than it had been. Huge letdown, was the best shawarma around.

This place used to be great when the owner was actively involved. You could really taste the care and quality in every shawarma. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill. It seems like the owner has stepped back, and the staff running the place now have little to no experience in food service.

Today I ordered three shawarma sandwiches, and honestly, they were terrible. No flavor, poor presentation — it felt like no effort was put into making them. Extremely disappointing, especially knowing how good this place used to be.

I hope the owner sees this and decides to step in again, because right now, the quality is not acceptable.

I ordered delivery not aware the owners had changed. Big mistake. The mixed grill plate used to be loaded with kebabs and shawarma and plenty of pita for $26.99. What I got was tough cuts of lamb, bland chicken, no kafta/adana, and a pathetic excuse for shawarma. Seasoning was terrible. The garlic sauce was just crappy aioli. The falafel plate was mediocre at best. Everything tasted like they got it out of a can or package. Absolutely will never order from them again.
