Food, Service, Atmosphere all 5 Stars. But overall they get 4 Stars for the "4% Hospitality Fee" they sneakily slide onto your bill at the end.. You can call it whatever you want and try to justify it's reason, but it comes off as an additional money grab. Adjust your prices if you have to, I'd rather pay true menu price / cost of dining, than have you sneak in this fee to pretend that's how you keep your prices down. Sadly I waited at the bar before dinner and had drinks only, I still got hit with the Hospitality Fee, so should I deduct that from the bartender tip then? I gladly paid it at both bar drinks only and dining room dinner. A wonderful place to dine and have drinks, I just don't appreciate the tactics. Keep pricing and tipping traditional.

Vegetarian options: Non trivial vegetarian options: tofu, falafel, veggie burgers. For a beer joint it's quite good.
We got great service and really enjoyed the food. I recommend the lettuce wrap app and the grilled banana bread dessert, for sure. Tasty drinks, as well
Vegetarian options: Very nice service and very close to The Crystal Ballroom, so great place for a pre-shoe meal.

Great selection of beers on tap (Trillium can be found here!) They also have tasty food dishes and great staff!
I took a chance on this place after walking by it countless times on my lunch breaks, and reading some positive reviews! I’m so glad I took the chance. I made a reservation & it was early so I got to choose a table outside. The weather was gorgeous. Our server (young tall blonde) was super courteous, and polite. I was meeting up with an old co worker from my restaurant job and her husband. We are all restaurant people, so we kind of get a little picky when it comes to service & atmosphere. The drinks were SO good. I got the blackberry crush, it was so damn good and refreshing. I got the pineapple sangria which was good, and the Prosecco cut the sweetness perfectly. I do prefer my drinks a little bit sweeter, so in the future I’ll stick with the blackberry crush :) we got a beer flight to end our night which was so fun & yummy. We didn’t feel rushed or overwhelmed by our server, who was really reading us & really good about not stopping by too often or not enough. I will be recommending this place to friends, coworkers, and anyone that I can really! :) I will be back!

I went here today and was very dissatisfied. The table didn’t look clean. I ordered a burger plain with only meat and cheddar cheese, and I was extremely clear about this. My burger came with American cheese, onions, tomatoes and sauce. They didn’t even apologize or offer to fix it. My boyfriend ended up having to get up and find someone to cancel the order. They didn’t even offer to refill my drink!

Walked up the bar to get a steak and cheese as takeout. Got charged a 4% "hospitality administration fee", and the smallest steak and cheese I've ever seen for $19 dollars...
Brady is an amazing waiter - he noticed our style and put on a special playlist just for us and I’ve never had so much fun at a restaurant. Thank you so much for a spectacular night!!!!

Everything was very nice except the drinks. My friends all said the drinks were very weak and asked the bartender for a side shot of vodka. ( my drink was fine) Very cute place our waiter was very nice.
Restaurantji Recommends
Ordered a flatbread and a pesto wrap bowl with added chicken. The flatbread left much to be desired, the pesto dressing was nothing special, and the chicken was tough, dry, and probably overcooked. Would not recommend.

The ambience at Elm Street Taproom was quite nice, making it a pleasant place to hang out. However, the food and service left something to be desired. The Kung Pao Cauliflower was pretty bland, and while the cocktails were alright, they didn't stand out.I ordered the smash burger, expecting the classic thin patty with crispy edges. Instead, I got a regular hamburger. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't a smash burger. If you're going to call it that, it should meet the definition.Service was mediocre. Despite the restaurant not being busy, our waiter was very inattentive. He took a very long time to check in on us and didn't clear our menus, old plates, or glasses when new ones were brought. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and I hope they can improve both their service and accuracy in the menu descriptions.

Really good burger here! And the place has a bunch of beers on tap. Our waiter was god awful though, never checked on us and messed up our order twice.

I like this place! Amazing selection of beer and their food is good with a wide variety. Not to mention they allow dogs on the outside patio which is pretty rare in Boston ? Their staff was also really friendly and gave us a water bowl. We’ll be back!
Great food and drinks! Everything was delicious, especially the mac smash burger. Definitely a better value than most spots in Davis Square. Service was a bit slow on a Wednesday night, but it was pretty busy. I hear the food used to not be very good here, but they've revamped the menu for sure. Overall a really great spot!
