Fantastic food and great service! There were lots of fun pizza flavors and toppings to enjoy that were quite unique. And don't sleep on the starters! I enjoyed the shrimp toast the most, but I really appreciated how tasty the sauces of each dish were. Great vibe for dinners with friends or a date night, and reasonable prices for food of this quality and restaurant of this vibe. Would definitely love to come back!

One of a kind experience some of the best pizza the town has to offer, make sure you do a reservation so you don’t miss out.

Stellar Thursday night dinner at June Bug last week. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, helping us find a bottle of wine that would fit my husband and I's differing preferences (me: skin contact wine enthusiast, him: funk- and tannin-averse). We loved the recommendation, and it paired well with our meal. The ambience is a mix of funky, retro, Gen Z and Japandi vibes, with confetti resin tables, brightly colored dishes, rattan counter stools at the bar and interesting wall art. Fits perfectly with the Union Square atmosphere. We also loved that our pizza stand wasn't your typical wire getup, but instead a repurposed, empty jumbo sized can of crushed tomatoes. We ordered the bluefin tuna crudo, shrimp toast and "the garlic one" pizza with "dylly ranch" dip on the side for our crusts. Tuna was deliciously fresh, spicy and heavy on the cilantro (big cilantro fans here). Shrimp toast was very savory and filling, and the basil aioli was a nice touch. I would come back solely to eat the entire garlic one pizza on my own-- I think they achieved my ideal slice. Globs of ricotta and hot honey... guh. So good. We ultimately passed on dessert because Gracie's Ice Cream is a block away, but we will definitely be back.

Wonderful! Interesting pizzas cooked in a 900 degree oven with some creative sides and top notch hospitality. Really nice cocktail and wine list also.Dietary restrictions: We were provided an annotated menu with which dishes were okay and which could be modified.

Managed to get a last minute Friday night reservation for two. While the restaurant was crowded, our server was very attentive and super knowledgeable about the whole menu, wine list included! Ordered one pizza to share along with several appetizers (pinto beans, skate wing, and fluke). While I'm not a fan of raw garlic, all the garlic on the garlic pizza is cooked and mellowed out. The pizza dough was thin but not burnt. Would totally come back to try another pizza or more of the menu.

Cute ambiance and service is pretty good except for that they seem to rush you because of the time limit which is fair, but not appreciated. When it comes to the food, even though I ordered a pizza I didn't really like, I could tell it was good quality and the crust was delicious! As other reviewers are mentioning it is a bit pricey and when it comes to the tip they already include it on the receipt which they actually circled it for me so I was aware. I'd come back to try a different pizza with toppings I'd actually prefer. Idk why I get caught up by a couple of ingredients and then forget there are toppings I'd rather avoid.

Delicious pizza. Napoleton style. I enjoyed all three pizzas we had. Specifically the garlic / hot honey one. Great flavor combos. The space is uniquely designed. Even the bathroom is pretty. Friendly staff. Great addition to Union Square!

The last time I’ll ever go to a restaurant based on an Instagram paid ad! This restaurant was pretty inside, but the food was overpriced and mediocre and the service was inattentive as well. The worst part of this experience was not the automatic gratuity, but the fact that they asked for additional tips on top of it …

Cozy, casual restaurant in a busy Somerville neighborhood. We went for our anniversary dinner on our daughter’s recommendation and glad we did. The menu isn’t extensive & keeps changing but the two appetizers we ordered were delicious as was the pizza. The pizzas are light and individual sized but after eating appetizers, one was enough split between the two of us. We got the olive oil cake & flan for dessert & they both were so delicious! Our server was amazing and at the end of dinner, refilled our wine glasses with sparkling wine on the house. I’d definitely recommend a visit to June bug. Beware, parking is an issue in the area. Take a ride share if possible.Kid-friendliness: Not a kid friendly place.

Beautiful restaurant with intimate and chill ambience. Great place to enjoy with a friend or loved one. The pizza dough is delicate and full. My favorites were the chimney sweep packed with flavor from the pine nut agrodolce and blue cheese. Shuggies is classic. This is where the dough shines. The basil Schug has a bit of a kick to it, fyi! The cocktails (both NA and not) were delicious also, well thought out and refreshing. It's a popular place, be sure to make a reservation, and don't expect to hang out too long after you're done eating!

TLDR: A reservation is suggested for this trendy new pizza spot. The decor is 70's mid-century modern. June Bug is the sister restaurant to Field and Vine next door, so if you like it F&V, you'll like June Bug. The pizzas are personal sized so ordering one pizza per person and one app to share should fill you up. What we drank: - Near Miss - Snack Break Martini What we ate: - Roasted Cabbage: Really interesting combination of flavors with the labneh and gochujang, not our favorite but interesting! - Shrimp Toast: This was really good! The focaccia was perfectly fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The basil aioli was whipped and was a great addition to the dish. - Like a Pepperoni Pizza: Just know this pizza has no cheese. The 'nduja is similar to chorizo, so it was a little spicy, covered in delicious onions and grilled to perfection - Chimney Sweep Pizza: creamy and nutty, would get again!

The pizza was amazing and the reason we came however, the appetizers almost blew us away more which is saying a lot. There was a bit of a wait (it was a random Tuesday evening) but the hostess was very kind and made sure to get us a spot the best she could. We got the shrimp toast and wings which were both super flavorful. The shuggie's pizza had a beautiful crust and a very nice flavor. I highly recommend it, it also good if you have picker eaters in your group.

Great vibe, great food, great drinks, great service. Only reason I am removing a star is because I think the apps are priced a little bit too high for what they are. But overall really loved the

Came here for dinner on Friday February 2 and it was a great first experience. We sat at the bar with Emily and Noah and they provided a great experience - the service was on point - attentive, friendly, and not invasive. For appetizers we shared the blue fin tuna crudo, the kitchen sink salad, and the shrimp toast which knocked my socks off - HIGHLY recommend. I would definitely order that every time I come in. We also shared a shuggie's pizza. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the space was well decorated. Overall a great experience and we will be back!

Had to check out this new spot in Somerville and it did not disappoint! I feel like Boston does not have enough restaurants that are this vibey and high quality while still being fairly casual and June bug fit the criteria on all fronts. The menu is limited but every item we ordered was extremely tasty and had unique flavors. We got the mushroom salad and 2 pizzas - loved the sweet sausage and the fact that you can order dipping sauces for the crust. Highly recommend the dill ranch. Cocktails were great flavor combos as well and not too strong. We came after Valentine’s Day and the restaurant decor is just so thoughtful and cute, playlist was on point, and we had such a nice time. My only issue is parking is literally impossible in Union Square but totally worth it to go here! Can’t wait to go back!
