Tldr, go to ball square cafe next door or ciao instead. This place is hyped up because of guy fieri and historical momentum but is objectively terrible.
1. Their website and google menus are years out of date. Prices are 3x whats shown online. 2. Staff have no ability to handle the lines, cutting is rampant and staff dont care. 3. Staff audibly cursing out customers at the register for trying to wave them over. 4. Beef hash was a soppy pink paste (I'll take beyond meat or 3d printed meat over this slop) 5. Large chunk of the menu isn't offered at the cooks discretion

Was there this morning 8/25 and won't be back. My toast was SATURATED with butter gross amounts, my girlfriend's hash was the worst she's ever had, she threw away 95%. The service was really what was awful sat at the counter and was ignored by 5-6 staff members then the busboy starts setting our menus/mats while still chomping on food with crumbs spilling out his mouth.
So many other breakfast options in this area I'll certainly find another

I used to love this place but today’s service was terrible. The server was awfully rude. We had friends visiting from another country and we took them there cause we always liked this place, but honestly I don’t even know what happened. The server was obviously pissed about serving our table and we have no idea why. Maybe you have problem with foreigns? Which is ridiculous. I don’t know what happened here today, but you should really change your servers, there is a lot of good people looking for work.

Great food fresh and very well done! The service is friendly professional and patient. We love this place!! I only wish the owner would give it a really good cleaning…the terrazzo floors are filthy around the stools and in the corners… seats at the counter have dirt all over and under the booths??? That’s a gross area. Come on you’re better than this!!

I’ve been a regular patron at Kelly Diner , visiting several times due to their typically generous portions. Admittedly, the cost is a bit high, with a standard omelette, coffee, and tip totaling around $30, but it's usually worth it for the quality and quantity.
However, my most recent visit was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. I ordered an egg white omelette, but what I received was clearly a regular omelette. When I questioned the server, they bizarrely insisted it was an "orange egg white omelette." Feeling skeptical but hungry, I took a bite of the toast and a bit of the home fries, hoping the issue with the omelette could be corrected without a fuss.
After sending the plate back, it was returned with the ‘corrected’ omelette, but the home fries were unbearably salty. One forkful tasted like licking pure salt off a hand. It was revolting and seemed almost maliciously prepared to deter further complaints.
This experience has shattered any trust I had in Kelly Diner. I can't condone dining at an establishment where the staff might intentionally sabotage a meal. It's not just about the incorrect order or even the high prices; it’s about the underlying sense of respect and trust, which was clearly absent during this visit.
It’s a shame because I’ve had several good meals here, but I can’t justify returning after this incident. Food safety and customer respect should always come first, and this is a clear indicator that such values are not upheld here. If you value your dining experience and well-being, I’d advise looking elsewhere.
