I just had what might be the best donut I’ve ever eaten and it only cost me $2, what more needs to be said

I am completely disappointed with the recent service I received at Lyndell's Bakery. I went to them 3 full days prior to my husband's birthday to request a simple special design cake. I was told their decorator was not there but they would ask and get back to me the next morning. No one called back the next day; I had to call that afternoon to be told they couldn't do my special request but I could get a basic cake with flowers or balloons done by date requested. I was disappointed, but agreed to balloons because I needed a cake. The cake I received looked like it had been decorated by a five year old!! It was a total mess, had entirely way too much frosting; there was more frosting than cake!!! My daughter described the ballons as giant blue and green zits exploding with puss!!!! It was embarrassing to serve this cake to my family!! The level of service and pride in their work has completely gone down hill.

Lyndell's Bakery has always been our go to bakery for birthday cakes and other family celebration. Sadly this will no longer be the case; we will be taking our future business elsewhere.

The desserts not only look good, they taste good too. My mom loves the almond macarons. My dad loves the eclairs, I prefer the canoli, myself

Beautiful on the outside but very Very disappointing once I cut into it. !! I ordered a multi layer cake with strawberry filling only to cut into to it to find an extremely thick layer of frosting instead. I don't know if I wasn't clear enough when i ordered but that wasn't a cake worth of its 91.00 cost. I've had box cake that tasted better. Can't say I'll ever order again or recommend to anyone. Upsetting because they came highly recommended from a friend. Never again!!!

An old fashion bakery. All the baked goods I grew up with. Nothing fancy, which is great!

For my 85th birthday I wanted a decorated cake from Lyndell's Bakery as in the past. However what I got was a soy filled monstrosity which has made me ill. People pay exorbitant bakery prices for well made wholesome foods. Made with real ingredients. Not for garbage.

The absolute worst small business to deal with in an area flooding with bakeries. Management is an embarrassment to the company, they are the rudest people you will ever deal with. Their cakes are cute but they are not the top of line delicious and it’s not worth dealing with the horrible customer service. Will never recommend this bakery or ever buy from them again.

Delicious food and great service! I recommend getting there early, the best stuff is in high demand. They were great for pre-orders of cakes for our party.

Fantastic local bakery. Beautifully decorated sweet treats, cookies and pastries. Our favorites are the Boston Cream Pie and Italian cookies.

My family has bought from Lyndells for generations. They’ve recently changed ingredients for things to cut costs and it’s disgraceful. I ordered 3 dozen cupcakes for a 40th bday party and the frosting was clearly made with crisco instead of butter and the piping was sloppy. Cake was dry, I could tell it had been made ahead, frozen and then pulled out for an order. Normally I wouldn’t even leave a review, just accept my disappointment and move along - but - for a bakery that is so near and dear to many, it would have been nice to see them uphold the standard they set so long ago. On top of that, the tone of the woman who took the phone order was basically that she couldn’t care whether I lived or died. I’ve lived in Boston my whole life and can deal with bad attitudes if the food is good, but I won’t be back.

My mother bought a cake for my birthday and it was DELICIOUS! I love chocolate on chocolate cake and this was amazing. So rich and moist, this has to be my favorite cake in a long time.
The inside is a blast from the past, from the old school number queue to the glass cases and the foot operated twine machine, it reminds me of the old bakeries you just don’t see anymore.
There’s parking in the back if needed. The staff is friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back to try more.
