Was fortunate that it was open when I stopped by Bow Market for lunch on a late Monday afternoon. Most shops in the area are not open at the time, but after a bite at Saus, stopped by for a 6 pack, mostly of pandan, but also apple butter, hibiscus and lavender honey. Delicious. Nice packaging.

Maca has hands down the best macarons in the area. I never really enjoyed them till I had Tamy's. Along with classic flavors, you'll find different and innovative ones that you wouldn't get anywhere else. I always look forward to the seasonal and holiday specials. All the other goodies in store are delicious too, like the brownies and the mochi ice creams.The macarons packaging is like no other and comes with clear instructions about storage, which is super useful.Keep an eye out for the collabs with other local small businesses as well, these are always fantastic.The store is super cute and you can find little gifts for everyone.Maca is worth every penny!

Good macarons, but wait until they warm up!! The tiny shop is full of interesting and creative macaron flavors, and I was greeted with a smile and lots of explanations about the options! In the end I opted for the mega-size MacFatty, filled with a an edible cookies n cream cookie dough. At first bite, the macaron was just okay - the filling was amazing, but the macaron was just a bit too chewy in the mouth for me, and didn't taste super fresh. I stuck the other half in my pocket and continued on with my day. Later, I tried the rest of the macaron and it was amazing - exactly the texture I was hoping for. The other thing you notice when you walk in the shop is how cold it is - I think they do this for the mochi and ice cream. The effect of the cold seems to be making the macarons too chewy. I would definitely come back to get macarons to take away, but would consider putting these by the fire pit to warm them up a little if you're eating in the market!

She’s so organized when I’ve change/add on to my order or had multiple orders going on. I appreciate all the work she puts in to her craft.
Maca is located in Somerville, Boston. I was in the neighborhood for a restaurant review and stumbled upon this incredibly cute place. The store is very small and is decorated with cute little things. The macarons we ordered were good but I wasn't a big fan of mochi. We ordered 3 macarons and my favorite was red velvet for sure. I liked the macarons for they were well balanced in taste and texture. Mochi did not stand out for me. It definitely lacked taste. The service was ok. It seemed the lady behind the counter hadn't smiled in a long time. I truly wish I could give this place 5/5.

We had Maca macarons for our wedding favors! Tamy was professional to work with and provided the perfect macarons for us! There are so many flavors to choose from. All of the favors were in perfect condition in a 2"x2" clear box which we picked up 2 days prior to the wedding. The quality of the marcarons are superb! Our guests loved them and stated they were the best macarons they have ever had. I have also previously ordered her macas online which were delivered fresh, well protected with freezer packs and arrived completely intact within 48-72 hours (MA->RI).

I was exploring Bow Market one Saturday and stumbled across the cutest lil' macaron shop. It's a snug space that can only fit a few people at a time, but I think that adds to the allure. I ordered a box of twelve macarons with the following flavors: maple cream, cake batter, lavender honey, red velvet, strawberry cheesecake, pumpkin cheesecake, cookies & cream, and fest lager. The maple cream, lavender honey, and pumpkin cheesecake were my absolute favorites! Each macaron held up well, tasted fresh, and had an ample amount of filling. I liked that they were brimming with flavor without being super sweet. To top it all off, the macarons were packaged in a sturdy, cute box. I'm definitely ordering another box (or two!) the next time I visit Bow Market. I'm excited to see what other fun, unique flavors will be available then!
