This is my second time getting takeout at Mandarin and it continues to never disappoint. I usually get the general tso's chicken which has the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The chicken is cooked perfectly and not mushy. The veggie lo mein is always good and the crab Rangoons are always crispy and fresh. I've had other items before like their pan fried dumplings and this place is the best for fresh Chinese food in the east Somerville area (not greasy!!). I've never had to wait for my food when I go to pick it up. The inside is nothing to rave about which is why a majority of their orders are takeout. I highly recommend Mandarin for a fresh classic Chinese meal!

This place is filthy. The lady at the counter is extremely rude. They refused to give me my order because it was under $10 and I didn’t have cash only card. The lady yelled at me then walked away. Honestly glad they did that because after walking inside I think they saved me a trip to the ER. How is your dining area dirty and you don’t even allow people to dine in??

Well tonight I thought I'd order from somewhere new to us, I ordered through grub hub and after an hour and our grub up app was not updating I phoned the restaurant , I had asked the woman who answered the phone if the order had been picked up yet, she put a man on the phone, he in turn started yelling at me and asked me if I was crazy , and told me I call all the time ??????? I proceeded to tell him I've never contacted this establishment before. He replied " what's your address , and yelled were so busy, I said why are you talking to me like that. He hung up. Very fair to say even If we enjoy the food, I will never order from here or recommend this place. Very very disappointed with my experience. Guess there's a first and last time for everything.

Good, reliable, Americanized Chinese food. The portions are also plenty-- usually I end up getting 2-3 meals out of it. The service is also fast and reliable (at least when ordering pick-up). Would recommend.

Service is horrible!!! I called and tried to place a delivery for my blind client, who lives in an apartment complex. Woman on the phone still demanded that my client come downstairs for his food. Awful! I usually come here for myself, I won’t be doing that anymore.

A lot of people complaining about delivery in the reviews, I wonder if they’ve ever heard of walking a little and picking up an order? I feel like delivery apps are ruining us…
