Nestled in Union Square is Maprang Café. Cute and cozy Asian café with endless pastry and sweet options. I have walked by this place a few times and was thrilled to finally try it and it wasn’t super busy when I walked in. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and it was so delicious! The perfect amount of spice and a creamy finish. The food options also looked really pretty and colorful. I will mention the price points for the food options seemed a little pricey for the size and amount, but that is just my personal opinion. It is an adorable café and overall had a nice experience during my first visit.

We picked up my bday cake yesterday. Once I cut the cake, the cake fell apart (completely smashed). It looks like a porridge now. Look at the photo! I have NEVER seen this from any cake! I think they overwhipped the cream so it was not firmed at all. It is not cheap as well. Very unprofessional.

I ordered alot from here because I wanted to try everything! Lol. My favorite was the coconut chiffon it was very light and fluffy. I liked the thai tea and tiramisu cream, but the cakes were very dry. If it was more moist it would have been perfect!! The tiramisu cream was very flavorful and full of coffee taste which was delicious. Service was good too and the staffs were very friendly. I would definitely come try again, just hope they can see this review and improve more in the cake so it is not so dry.
Their matcha lattes are *so good,* and the man who works there is delightful. They will do dairy-free hot chocolates on request. Wonderful new neighborhood spot.

By far my favorite bakery in town! The coconut pandan cake was so special with its pillowy soft pandan sponge and coconut layer with real coconut pieces sandwiched between. My husband said it was possibly the best dessert he had ever eaten. Staff are super sweet and friendly as well! Must return soon to try all their other treats.

We contacted Maprang about 1 month prior to our small wedding here in Somerville. They did an absolutely fantastic job, all of our guests complimented our cake and working with them was so easy. I had sent some reference photos but literally did not see the cake until we were about to cut it and we were BLOWN away. Highly recommend them for your special events! Thank you Maprang for making our special day even better.
Epic. Very delicious desserts at reasonable price and good coffee. I would highly recommend the basque cheesecake. Thai iced tea cake is also very accurate flavor. All the cakes are light and give a refreshing feeling. This is my new top place for a sweet and coffee. Only downside is seating is a bit limited since it is a smaller place.

If there was more parking out front, I would come constantly!
There are two steps, and it’s hard to open the door with them, but the service is amazing, and the staff jumped to help.
The food is delicious, unique, and beautiful! Padan cakes are topped with real Padan leaves. The Thai tea treats have rosemary atop.
Everything is so so beautiful and well-designed, and I spent much of the morning relaxing here. Very calm and peaceful.
There is parking nearby but not out front. At least a few blocks away.
