First of all, the lunch food was delicious! Now, I went to this bakery looking for a cheese bread with cheese (which is strangely increasingly difficult to find in Brazilian bakeries. My family and I buy the cheese breads that they call “normal”, “extra cheese”, and “stuffed with chicken”. They are all hollow, with no cheese inside, rubbery dough, and cold. The service is very slow and I think it's the administration's fault. There is a lot of demand (huge menu and many customers) for few servers, leaving them desperate. They do the best they can under the conditions given by the administration. Short staffed and poorly managed.
In my opinion, the space has great potential, it just needs to be better managed.

Wow, stopped in randomly & was extremely impressed
Great selection of unique baked goods (yucca almond cheese cookie anyone?) Very fresh tasting, even though we got there right before close and there is a good selection. Also, it's not just unique baked goods, there are plenty of Brazilian staples like cheese bread, variants of flan, and delicious other options
I dont think food service *has* to be this way, but it was also very pleasant how warm and inviting the staff was. Especially because for the most part, I had to ask a few questions on some items.
Definitely will be back!!
Honestly I'm shocked they were so tasty across a variety of food items types (omlette and baked goods!), and priced quite reasonably!

Modelo Market Cafe is great! The staff are incredibly nice and always have a smile on their faces. Their corn cake is the best I've ever had from a store. In addition to delicious baked goods, they offer a great selection of meat and other items perfect for a barbecue. They also have a fantastic buffet for lunch. Highly recommend stopping by!

Staff was very friendly. If you speak Portuguese or if you are ordering without adjustments it might be ok. I have a dairy allergy and wasn't confident they knew what I was asking. Acai is scooped out of a tub... apparently everyone can serve it now. Was frozen and too cold to eat when served. Poured a huge dollop of honey on top from a gallon container. Overly sweet. Ice coffee is pre-made like most places but strong yet smooth. Would come back for a coffee and maybe sit to do work.
Dietary restrictions: Have a dairy allergy and was no confident they knew about their menu's contents

Delicious fresh made breakfast and FRESH squeezed orange juice. Super nice staff. We got breakfast sandwiches, cheesy bread and a breakfast burrito. Lots of fresh pastries. Also came here for lunch before and got the buffet with nicely seasoned chicken, plantains and sides. We'll be back for more!
