The barista/cashier was SO nice. Cortado was a little too burnt/bitter for me but I'm a fruity acidic tea lover so that's a me problem. The matcha they have is from a local vendor in Cambridge, Mem tea. No fragrance or color really (muddy) BUT tasted great in milk! Very umami forward and a little bitterness that was sweetened by the milk perfectly. I would recommend getting a lavender syrup with this.

Love stopping here in the morning for a coffee and breakfast sandwich! The mocha and the vanilla latte are both great and well balanced. The breakfast sandwiches are a good size. I highly recommend the croissant as your base- it's fresh and perfectly flaky, which you wouldn't really expect for a small window-service coffee spot.

The lack of an inside area is disappointing, but the service and friendliness was still nice. The cortado was not extra hot like I asked and was very very small. Paying $4 for that seems like a bit much when you don't even get the atmosphere of a coffee shop. But the coffee was still very well-made and tasty!

Nine Bar has since transitioned from in-person dining to window-service only, but the food and the vibe of an iced coffee and everything bagel in front of the Somerville Theater is grand! The bagel creators truly lob on the shmear/toppings.
The staff is kind and there is no shortage of kooky shenanigans going on in and around Davis Square. 10/10
Cute hole-in-the-wall coffee bar, with excellent well-rounded espresso and creamy almond milk lattes. Pastries are yummy too. Note that this place is to-go only, and there is no seating.
