We ordered vegetable maki last night (12.19.25) for takeout and it was fantastic. We will definitely be folding this into our takeout rotation. Food was fresh and the service was delightful.

We got some good sushi rolls and for a very reasonable price, considering the area. I’m not entirely sure what the theme/aesthetic they are going for is in terms of interior decor but that doesn’t take away anything really. It’s a neighborhood joint so don’t expect a fine dining experience. But it’s good food, nice people, and decent prices. Will definitely go back!

As some other reviewer pointed out this is like your neighborhood sushi joint. I got larger portions of food for the same price compared to other ramen/sushi places in Cambridge. The waitress was friendly. Will come back again.

I've really enjoyed dining out at Edamame Spicy. It's the new neighborhood sushi joint that feels like old Somerville: warm, welcoming, low-key, and with good, reasonable prices. The owner is super sweet and attentive, and the food always tastes great (fresh fish in the sushi): a great place for a tasty meal and great service.

We love that Edamame Spicy is our new neighborhood spot. The food is tasty at a great price. The owner is kind and generous—when she learned I was vegetarian, she offered us her homemade vegetable dumplings not on the menu, and when we came in on our second visit, she greeted us with a big smile and remembered us and our orders! Attentive service and yummy food mean we’ll definitely be regulars here.

Ordered shrimp Pad Thai and Lo Mein both were flavourful and the portions were big. The ambience is quite alright and not too fancy. Will be ordering again.

Liked it when it was “PaPa Sushi”, the new place that replaced it simply doesn’t live up to what it replaced. I miss the old sushi menu, and am disappointed by the quality.

I had the spicy edamame, Sapporo beer, and Tuna lover sushi. It was very nice; it’s hard to find half-decent Japanese food near Magoun Square. It felt cozy and the staff were very nice to me during the soft opening. The edamame wasn’t crazy spicy either; it went well with my beer. I’ll probably come back soon :) This place would be very nice with something to do like karaoke!
