I adore this place a lot. there is a happy air. The food is splendid. the service is effective and the team is friendly. The price is fair. deeply recommend.
We don’t know what was going on. It was highly recommended. Their cooling was broken on a hot summer night. We had to transfer to a table near the door for some cool air. Good thing the service was attentive. Food came out so late. Taste was all over the place. Assault to the palette. Pizza was like Old bread. Most of the specials had poached egg in it. They only had two people in the kitchen! They should have not opened.
Pepe Bocca has recently converted from an Italian specialty food store into a full service restauant. And it was a great decision. The food is strikingly delicious, so while there isn't a huge amount of choice of the menu, you can't go wrong with your order. The bread alone is to die for. The atmosphere is beautiful and authentically Italian, with chunky wooden tables and antique artefacts. The food took a long time to arrive for us, so don't rush. But if you're looking for a charming restaurant with top-notch food, this is it.
Pepe Bocca is a rare find in Boston. Incredible Italian food with friendly staff in an adorable space. The restaurant used to be an Italian grocery store and they transformed it into a nice restaurant, but managed to make it even more charming. They gave us so much free bread during our meal and we couldn't stop eating it. It takes a bit of time for them to prepare the food, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're in a rush. But if you have time to sit down and eat a delicious dinner, this is the place for you. After having such a great dining experience here, I had the chance to sign up for one of their bread making classes and spend an afternoon with Chef Giovanni. It was a great way to spend a rainy Sunday. I'm pretty sure I ate three loaves of bread, but I have no regrets.
